1st Call Electric, LLC

On 9/13/2021 Joe Ford gave us a Invoice for a Generar Generator. we gave him a deposit of 7500.00. Instead Joe gave us nothing but grief. We took our complaint to the the District Justice, to no avail. All. mail recieved by Joe was returned. This man is the Scum of the earth. Ripping off customer, lying about the date of delivery, rude, refusing to answer calls. I told him I would do this the legal way. He responded that he did not care. He does not respect, us or the law governing his action. Unless we can come up with a address. the mail that he recieved was returned, undeliverable. we are out so much money. The court wants additional funds to continue to address this complaint. It would be great if those who money was stolen, could come together, we could file a complaint together. Other wise Joe wins. We have 5 years from the date of filing. I do not know everyones time line, however its a start.

Joe ripped us off. We are a small non-profit who helps the homeless. Our funds are limited. Joe took all of the money upfront and only completed half the work. I have not been able to contact him. How can a person steal from a non-profit?

I have to question the positive reviews here for 1st Call Electric. I worked out a deal with Joe Ford on October 15 2021 for a 22kw Generac generator. Paid him $7600 two days later and have not seen him since. I have been strung along on the phone for 12 months exactly; being told about supply chain issues and lots of excuses surrounding that. I have an easy time believing the other negative comments listed on other boards. Joe is a poor businessman and does not seem to have any integrity. Just a rotten experience all the way around. Now both numbers I have for him are disconnected, office, website/email are down. He has flown the coup and the company does not exist anymore. My attorney just told me that any contractor you use should be bonded as well as licensed and insured. I have doubts that Joe is even licensed or insured, to begin with. Checking reviews on Google and elsewhere is simply not enough due diligence. I learned an expensive lesson.

I cannot comment on the quality of the work provided because there was none. I put Joe Ford under contract on 2/25/2022 with a deposit of 7K for a generator installation at my home residence. Nothing but lies and excuses from Joe Ford. As of 10/12/2022 Joe Ford is nowhere to be found and cannot be contacted because his cell phone, business phone, and his personal email have been disconnected. I am now gathering all listed reviews in regard to his unethical business practices and will be contacting the local news agencies consumer affairs division to hopefully get Joe Ford some airtime on the news.

Contracted for a Generator Install in March 2022 after contacting in Feb. The date of the install was pushed several times from May till early October. Now all phones are disconnected. We paid $7000 and got nothing.

I have been cheated by the company in terms of work service and commitment and my money is gone they took my money without giving me the services I hired them for. I gave them 6000.00 dollars as deposit and they have not perform the job I hired them for.

I was overcharged, it cause a problem because they do no any permit taken out more money on credit card Work did not pass countys inspection code. Now I have to get another company to correct violations.

He took $7000 of my money for the deposit for a home generator and never delivered what he is supposed to do.

Joe took my deposit and promised that he will be back to render the services but he did not do that instead he disconnect his phone numbers and is not responding to any of my communication.

Polite and efficient workers who came on time, knew what they were doing and performed the requested installation in the expected time.

Everyone was very pleasant, prompt and courteous. The work was done in an efficient manner. The areas in which they were working was left very clean and tidy.

On November 19, 2021, I entered into a contract (attached) with 1ST Call Electric/ Joe Ford for the installation of a 22kw GENERAC house generator to be installed within 10-12 weeks. Via email on January 5, 2022, I asked for an updated installation date and was told the last week of January/the first week of February. 1st Call Electric did not respond to a follow-up email on February 21st, 2022 (another two weeks after the promised delivery date). We followed up by phone, during which time Joe explained the problems with production and shipping and said that he was unable to return the $7500 because he had taken $7500 from 85 or 86 people and could not pay them all back. He also stated that his wife is an attorney and that he has been sued for the return of money by others, but they were unsuccessful. In our second last communication, Joe explained that the generators would be delivered to Denney Electric and taken to appropriate houses from there. He also promised that the generator would be delivered by the end of March 2022. On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, we texted Joe again but received no response so we called the 1st Call Electric office person Kathy who told us that no generators were available at this time. She said we would have to do what we would have to do to get our money. We took Mr. Ford to court and did win the case. He still did not send the money, so now we got a lien against his company. I have to warn you to do business with 1st call electric. The good reviews are misleading. He will take your money, and you have to fight hard to get it back. Do not get fooled! This review has been challenged by 1st Call Electric but has been reposted because no evidence was provided that I made any wrong statement. There is still no payment from the company after they took my money about 9 months ago and I got a judgement against 1St call electric two months ago. As I said, good luck getting your money back. I will keep this review updated

Pleased with all aspects of the job

Joe was very professional from the first time I contacted his office. He first tried to talk me through the problem over the phone to see if he could fix it without coming over and save me "some bucks", as he put it. When that didn't work, he came over the same day. He called me an hour before he came to confirm, and was prompt in arriving. Since the service was a simple one, he immediately gave me a $100 discount and explained what to do should the same issue happen in the future. Talk about service! I'll definitely hire Joe again when I need any electric work done.

As someone who works in the construction industry, I personally know how hard it is for trades to do their job right now. Materials arenâ t available and if they are, they cost a fortune. Good help is hard to find and homeowners donâ t really understand all the supply chain issues happening right now. I thought First Call Electric did a great job. They gave us a fair price for the work (and I have friends in the business to I called to check). They showed up on time and did the work as described.

All the work done both outsiide the house and inside the house were very professionally done. We were pleased with 1st Call Electric, LLC and will use them again.

Professional, well mannered and skilled. I liked dealing with the boss and with his employees. Prices were quite fair. I’d call them again if I needed more electrical work.

They were courteous and professional. I had a miscommunication with dispatch and the two gentleman who came out on our call displayed excellent customer service and were able to clear up the communication and accommodate our needs. They went above and beyond. We appreciated it.
