had sunroom built, needed to match roof slope of house & stay over 7 feet on low side, to which ken said it would be no problem. also called for shingles, instead got a strip that of fake shingles. this is diagramed on contract. they also poured a slab without a permit. hoa will not okay as is and ken at 1st choice does't answer calls or return them. the work looks good, just not to agreed upon specs.

I was satisfied with the sun room they enclosed for me although it took much longer than it was suppose to, the real problem is the level of commitment and the customer service after the work done, there is a leak in the roof that makes water fill the sun room every time we get heavy rain, have been calling, texting and emailing every time to come and fix it through out the one and half year since they built the sun room, they don't care.. and although they showed up couple of times after many trials to reach them but they did not fix the issue or didn't put the time and effort to make it done, really upset!!

The glass sun-room looks beautiful but it is all aesthetic. Water seeps through the windows that they installed. This company did make attempts to fix the leaks but it did solve the solution. Initially when they first installed they did not hose test on this sun room. Not until I asked them too.

Hired 1st Choice Enclosures to add an all-season room and erect a screen enclosure for our in-ground pool in August, 2016. Could not have made a better choice of contractor. From initial planning to final clean-up, Chris and his crew were exceptional, explaining every step of the process, answering all questions and addressing any issues/concerns that arose during and after construction. Quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding. The expertise and innovation displayed by the entire crew resulted in a beautiful finished product. Knowing that minor glitches would arise after completion, I have waited to write this review to see how the company responded. Rhonda, the crew coordinator extraordinaire has been nothing short of sensational, promptly and happily responding to the few minor issues that have arisen. I can't recommend 1st Choice highly enough. They were, and are, a company that lives up to the expression "We're not happy until you're happy."

We contracted this firm in May, 2016 to build an extended porch with a vaulted roofed ceiling. Construction did not begin until late July. The workmanship was so shoddy that we called in the Horry County inspector who initially cited 5 code violations. A couple days later, after we had another contractor expose the roof, the county inspector cited 14 more code violations. We paid a professional consultant who reported that the Addition Rafters terminated on the original truss, which is not designed for load bearing; rafters & beams have no hurricane strapping; joist hangers improperly installed; rafter heels have gaps which violate code; existing shingles not removed before nailing plate for rafters; Main support post improperly installed. Their conclusion: The roof additions is not constructed in accordance with building codes and industry standards. The roof addition should be removed and a new roof constructed according to code. Installed bead board is of poor quality for an interior finish. This firm refuses to refund the $9,200 we paid for this inadequate work. In addition we have to pay another firm to remove this roof and rebuild and finish the job. Don't contract with this firm.

They did a great job. No complaints.

This is by far the worst company I ever dealt with. Tomorrow we go to court over $500.00. The salesman told me to hold back the $500.00 in case something was wrong. They ripped off my shingled roof, were suppose to reseal ELITE roof. Not done, screen door is falling apart. The company had no interest in returning to fix anything. I could never recommend this company to anyone.

Have to call and call to get things finished or underway. Not to be trusted to finish in a timely manner nor to fix things gone wrong in a timely manner.

Chris of 1st Choice was prompt when it came to meeting with us and listened to our needs and wants. When we thought that although we wanted something we thought we could not have it he gave us options on what could be done to meet our needs. He gave us an schematic of what he thought we wanted and it was perfect. He answered all the questions that the HOA asked of him and also went to the city of Myrtle Beach to obtain all the permits and answer all their questions. The project was done in the time period he stated and the project was done in a clean and neat manner. No garbage or waste left on the lawn at the end of each workday. He was in full communication with us on a daily basis and the results were very professional. I have recommended him to my neighbors and a number of them have expressed interest in having his company perform the work

The installers, Excellent communication with customer asked what I wanted and worked with me. Very clean & neat workmanship.

The owners and work crew were very friendly and respectful. They took the time to understand exactly what we wanted. The site was cleaned up every evening before the men left.
