1st Choice Pools Building & Design

After meeting with 4 different pool companies on site, we are so pleased we settled on 1st Choice Pools. From the very beginning, the guidance, service, timely communications and commitment to their work was 2nd to none. Seriously. After meeting with the owner Daniel, his confidence and knowledge were undeniable. Contract signed, began working with Devin that week, lots of patience and advice getting us to an executable CAD drawing. Not pushy, really felt valued, Devin listened to our concerns / preferences and got us to a simple and geometric design we loved. The build went wonderfully, from excavation to pool fill – the program management and critical path was on point. In additional to the pool, we included two cement pours outside the coping to support a future grill and lounge area – fantastic workmanship. This review is about 10 months late, I share that because we recently had a minor issue – and without question, 1st choice returned and made it right without hesitation. Finally, a tip of the hat and the biggest thank you I can render to Estrella. Estrella was the front office interface, she was always 100% positive and professional. Her email / phone call response time was seconds not minutes and that is not an exaggeration. Responding to my questions on schedule, material inquiries, adjustments – Estrella was the liaison that brought it all together. Thank you, Daniel, Estrella, Devin and the overall 1st Choice Pools team – we are thrilled with the pool and will continue to highly recommend you to other future pool owners.

Daniel didn't build our pool, but built our neighbors pool that is yet to be finished. We allowed access to our side yard so they could build their pool. He did not follow up on his multiple promises over 5 months to fix my driveway, that he etched and broke away the side in a large area. He never filled the side with fresh rock as promised either. I repeatedly asked him not to use the drive way and had to go out and tell the workers multiple times to get off the driveway and not park on the driveway. He does not respond to messages or calls. My landscaper's words after trying to coordinate with him "I don't know how he does business, he doesn't return phone calls!"

I have used 1st Choice Pools Building & Design for over 15 years. This is a family owned local business and in the beginning Daniel was my neighbor. During this time, his company has grown but it still feels like a neighbor is taking care of my pool. Now, Sophia comes once a week for routine chemical adjustment, emptying baskets and cleaning the filters as needed. Daniel has earned his success. Thank you for being there, neighbor.

Daniel suggested a larger pump, appropriate for the size of our pool. He installed an upgraded pump and cleaned our pool. Since then, our backyard feels like a resort. We struggled with our pool for almost twenty years and now it sparkles. What a relief! It is wonderful to have a professional, positive, communicative, and responsive pool company taking care of our pool.

Daniel did a great job. He called 30 minutes before he showed up. Diagnosed the problem,came back the next day with the parts, and did the work in less than an hour. I’ve used him in the past to replace my filter system and had the same positive experience.

Daniel and employees provide consistent, excellent service. Manny does the pool each week, and Daniel comes out if/when needed. If there's a problem, they clearly explain the details of what needs doing and why, I find their prices very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of work. I appreciate that the chemicals they use are minimal and environmentally friendly. I had my pool resurfaced by someone Daniel recommended four years ago, and it's beautiful! I've recommended First Choice to neighbors and friends over the years and will continue to do so.

It ended up being a simple fix and he only charged us a trip charge

Called because our precious service provider dropped us during our vacation due to staff issues. Called 1st choice they responded immediately and serviced our pool the same day. Manny was very knowledgeable and cleaned and serviced the pool quickly and efficiently. Even though our pool hadn't been serviced for two weeks the chlorine was still high, which met the other service was over chlorinating our pool. Highly recommend 1st Choice.

They came out and diagnosed the problem the day after I called. It was fixed by the end of the week.

I believed in Daniel when he first started this business as he always was 'professional' when working with the company I'd hire prior to. I've only experienced 2 Maintenance persons, for 1st choice, that were professional; that would be Daniel and another named Jime (sp?) Daniel has fired one employee that was of disservice and I'm currently attempting to deal with a second one.

Very well. We will continue service with them after our promotion ends.

LOVING Daniel and 1st Choice Pools. Since I never had a pool, he is always available to answer and questions or address and/or clarifying any of my concerns. They are very reliable and come every Monday. If there is a holiday or my tech can't make it on Monday, then they come on Tuesday. My pool is gorgeous and well maintained thanks to 1st Choice !!!
