After purchasing a gas dryer at Sears to replace our old one, we were informed that Sears couldn't install it when it was delivered. We were fortunate to get ahold of 1st Response Plumbing; they came when they said they would and easily did the work that Sears couldn't. Derrick was great; we were really happy with the work he did and it was very reasonable as well. We will definitely use them again.

The operator, Tony Price provided a very professional service. At the same time, he provide quite a bit of educational information regarding septic systems. He removed his shoes before crossing our white carpet to inspect our sewer pump and was very careful to avoid backing his truck on our lawn.
I would hire him as an employee in a heartbeat.
I had a horrible experience with 1st response. They were hired to sand and restain my cabinets in my house. I provided a dark brown stain which I've used before and the cabinets turned out dark blue when 1st Response was finished. Thru the entire process there were red flags that I should have questioned such as swirls in the wood from sanding, slopping of stain on the backs of doors instead of properly and fully staining the back, painting (not staining as hired) the sides of the cabinet boxes since they later decided they could not be sanded. The sample coats on front of cabinets appeared acceptable (dark brown) until they used a clear polyurethane finish that turned them navy blue. The experience was horrible. What's worse is that Tim/Kris (owners) were unwilling to compromise on price and were unable to make the cabinets right. They had sanded them down too far so they couldn't be sanded again to restain and trying a orange glaze (orange plus blue equals brown they said) was awful. They essentially ruined all my cabinets. When I tried to negotiate to pay 2/3 of original bid (since I needed to pay a painter to start over) they threatened to put a lien on my house. Tim acknowledged the cabinets turned out navy blue but was unwilling to negotiate and therefore showed his biggest fault...putting money ahead of a quality product/service. I strongly urge others to use caution and I'd never recommend this company. "Buyer Beware"
"We at 1st Response Water Damage take pride in our work and strive to make every customer happy. Unfortunately, in this case there are a few key details this customer has left out. #1 – The customer picked out and ordered the strain (himself) based on cabinets that are in his current house which is different species of wood. Different species of wood will take stain differently, and we could have addressed this issue had we been provided a sample as requested numerous times. #2 – We had Sherwin-Williams (the supplier) and Rodda paint analyze the stain and cabinet doors, with both informing us and the customer that we did nothing wrong and that the stain the customer picked has a blue tint to it. If needed both Brian with Sherwin Williams and Brian with Rodda Paint will provide information regarding the statement above. #3 – In the customers own words to us and the above mentioned representatives, the customer stated that the quality of work was excellent and the only problem was the color (which he chose himself). In addition to the customer the wife was also able to look over the cabinet and stated they looked really good. Last an final thing is there is on mention that we discounted our bid 20% and that in the end trying to make things right we actually spent more money on labor and materials than we billed for. 1st Response Water Damage Tim Martin Owner"

Tim was very quick to respond as he was there soon after the flood. He was very professional in helping us determine what needed to be done, and then executed it all without a hitch. As mentioned previously, he took the time and had the tools and skills to make a big mess clean once again. The finished basement was completely cleaned up. He also worked well with our renters. Very efficient and gave us a good price for the work. Thanks to him and his company.

They removed drywall that was saturated with sewer water, removed part of the carpet that was ruined, dried out the basement and scrubbed the cement walls to remove any spores. The whole process took less than a day and I was very pleased with the results.
I was away from Spokane, and my family phoned me late one night to report the sewage lift pump alarm. I phoned Jared early the next morning, and he was already on his way to Omak for a commercial repair job. Fortunately, he returned to Spokane by 4:00 PM, to assess the problem. If I were home, I could have performed the assessment and repair, myself. It could have been the pump, or simply the float. Jared pulled the pump and float, tested them both, and determined it was only the float. He got the part before the supply store closed, and was done by 6:00 PM. He could have replaced the entire unit, and I'd never have known the difference, but Jared didn't oversell or get greedy, he simply did what was right, saving me the cost of a replacement pump. Thanks, Jared!
