Great company to deal with. Totally customer focused. My wife was not comfortable with me installing our security system myself, so internet based alarm companies were a no go. I contacted our existing company, Vector, Vivant, ADT & 1st Security. I met with all of the reps. Jeremy from 1st Security came to our home right away to conduct a detailed security assessment. He listened to our needs and our concerns with our existing landline based security system (through Vector), and he designed an effective yet practical and affordable set up for our home. Their prices cannot be beat- trust me I did my homework. Larry came to install the new security system and he was also great to deal with. Knowledgeable and patient- he took his time to explain how the system worked and gave us his cell # in case we had any issues. Kudos to 1st Security USA! Great folks doing business the way it should be done- honest and professional. I will be spreading the word

We were pleased with the installation of our fire/security system. The workers explained what they were going to do and showed us how to use the alarm. When they were done the installation, they cleaned up. They also gave us a discount because we went through Angie's List.

I recently had 1st Security install a system in my new house and so far have been very pleased with all aspects of the system, from the initial estimate to the installation to the functioning of the system itself. Jeremy did our initial estimate and provided us with a thorough explanation of the system. I already had done a significant amount of research comparing Alarm.com to ADT and some of the self-install options, but Jeremy was able to provide even more information and help me to understand better the pros and cons of each approach. Larry did our installation and also was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each step of the installation process and providing me with a tutorial at the end. My wife and I have had no issues with the system so far. It is very intuitive, and we have been able to customize it to fit our unique needs. I highly recommend considering 1st Security for anyone looking at installing, switching, or upgrading their security system.

Great company. Extremely helpful and dependable

I had a security system in place that had transferred ownership to 3 companies in total. I needed service on the system and received poor customer service and outrageous pricing for a small service needed. That inspired me to look elsewhere for a new security system provider. I came across Jeremy and Larry from 1st Security LLC and all I can say, being a person in the service industry, they came through big time. Not only were they punctual and knowledgeable, they were plain old nice !!!! From the quote with Jeremy to the install with Larry, it was a pleasurable experience and one that I would recommend over and over again.

Amazing system! Did a lot of research on alarm systems....so glad I went with 1st security! They came to my house and explained everything to me, were not pushy at all. Came and installed the system a few days later....took the time to explain everything to me and did an amazing job with the installation. And the price is excellent, both the installation fee and the month to month. So happy with my decision.

It's all very user friendly and reliable. Jeremy helped get us setup with our new system - he was great, very informative and candid. Larry came out and installed everything, and he was a pleasure. I totally recommend 1st Security USA to anyone in the Washington DC metro area.

Very responsive, professional. Explained use patiently and clearly. One problem with weak signal was addressed immediately as soon as we called them. Would use again, and recommend. Only concern is the monthly monitoring fee...seems a little high, but offset by low installation cost.

We are very pleased. We interviewed a number of security companies and received proposals including DIY to the big national and regional companies. I was not satisfied with any of the companies until I learned of 1stSecurity. Their pricing was good, both for the monthly fee ($40) and for the cost of the equipment. The manager, Jeremy, was very open and straightforward. The installer was also excellent. We asked them to install system prior to a trip we were taking in a few days and they met this short timeframe. The installation took 1-2 hours. The equipment we purchased was fairly extensive as we have a fairly large house and we wanted comprehensive coverage. This included 2 glass break sensors, a motion detector, and numerous door and window switches as well as a fire detection monitor. I accidentally set off the alarm and received a call from the monitoring company in under 10 seconds. The control panel for the system is an easy to use touch screen device, similar to an iPad. The system is very capable so you can connect smart devices to it if so inclined. We have been very pleased with the product and service so far (about 2 months).

My daughter knew of my terrible experience with my prior company and she had just gotten a new wireless system from 1st Security. She could not stop raving about how wonderful they were and how awesome the system was compared to her old one. OMG, I am sooo happy that she insisted that I have Jeremy from 1st Security come do a presentation and an assessment of my security needs. He was on time, friendly, professional and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Jeremy explained the 1st Security wireless system, showed me samples of the state of the art equipment , how easily it operated and then surveyed my house to determine the most comprehensive protection options for me. He offered me the Angie's List Special and a completely affordable package which even included the monitoring. It took less than an hour!!! Jeremy scheduled the installation and sent me all of the paperwork via email to docusign. I could not wait! In a couple of days , Larry, the master technical installer appeared at my door very early. He greeted me with a smile and immediately showed me each piece of equipment ,and where he was going to install them. He did this very quickly, despite having to climb over furniture and enter tight spaces to place the contacts. I was astounded when after he finished, he sat down and gave me a full tutorial on using the system. He showed me all of it's capabilities, and answered my many questions . I could not believe how much easier and more up to date this security system was to use than my old one. I have had many, many technicians in my home from the prior system, but absolutely none were as knowledgeable, personable, efficient or professional as Larry. He would not leave until I was comfortable, and even then advised me to call if I needed anything or had more questions. He was amazing.!!! A few days after my system was installed, I triggered a false alarm. The monitoring station called right away and did not hang up until assured that all was well. I did not have to wait or try to call them and get put on hold like with my old system. I only wish that I had more houses for them to install their system into, but since I don't, I plan to refer them to everyone that I know. 1st Security is affordable, state of the art and comprehensive. They are honest with no fine print that you have to worry about! I sincerely appreciate Jeremy and Larry and sleep so much better because of them . Thank you 1st Security!!!

Jeremy was punctual and professional. The appointment was easy to make with fast scheduling. I received an in-depth presentation and walk through of my home. He was very responsive to my questions and family's needs. There was no pressure to buy or add equipment I did not want or need. My new system was installed two days later. Larry the technical adviser was amazing. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He installed my system with no problems. He took the time to give us a lesson on how to use the app and new system. A few days later I had a question and he responded right away. I loved the system so much, that I referred my mother. Her system was installed a week later. I feel so protected knowing my family is safe using 1st Security Alarm company. I have the confidence of knowing that I can upgrade my system at any time. I can not thank Jeremy and Larry enough.

From initial presentation to the after sales service, I have been very impressed with the fabulous service and attention from the team. They did an awesome job of making me feel secure in my new home. The pricing was the most competitive as well. I am so excited by having a smart house tailored to my needs at a reasonable cost. It also is great to support a leader in the field but also a local MD business.

Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. I rest assured that 1st Security would never do something so foolish and greedy. They're good, honest people, and this is something that's unfortunately hard to find in the alarm business. I recommend them.

good, quick, good followup

Jeremy came out to my house to explain 1st Security's system (co-branded system with alarm.com), and gave me an amazingly good deal with the best pricing possible. The thing that amazed me was that 1st Security's pricing (both upfront equipment cost and the monthly monitoring charge, with full access to smart phone system) was LESS than the do-it-yourself options like FrontPoint. Yes--it was less than FrontPoint, even though 1st Security's pricing includes FULL installation by a professional (Larry, who was amazing--spent hours at my house making sure everything was right and teaching my husband and me how to use the system). Even more amazingly, 1st Security's monthly rate (again, less than FrontPoint) includes service, meaning that there is NO house-call charge, the way there was with my previous alarm company. If anything breaks, etc., they will come out and fix/replace it! Jeremy and Larry were both awesome--helpful, courteous, professional, prompt, etc. I highly HIGHLY recommend them and 1st Security. If you're thinking of going with a DIY alarm company to save money, don't bother--call 1st Security. They will also match other companies' prices!

Great. I was very pleased with Jeremy (the sales guy who I think owns the company) as well as Larry (the installer). They are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Jeremy was able to customize my contract to my needs and deliver a reasonable cost estimate. Larry installed the equipment very quickly and was super responsive and helpful after the installation was complete. This is where they really went above and beyond, because they could have just moved to their next job, but the follow-up was terrific.

Jeremy was very responsive to the initial phone calls. Scheduled an in home consult quickly and gave a thorough presentation of their systems and capabilities. We scheduled the install a few days later for our system. Larry was helpful and professional. We has a couple of hiccups, which were resolved. We also decided to add security cameras and has a little trouble scheduling that install. Once installed all is working well. We’re very happy with the products and service.

I recently decided to add video cameras to my existing home security system. My monitoring vendor provided me with an expensive and complicated solution to this request so I shopped around for other options. I ultimately selected 1st Security to install Alarm.com’s smart home security system for quite a few reasons. First off, the president of the company, Jeremy, came to my house the same day I requested information about their services and diligently followed up with me on a regular basis as I explored my options. Second, I was concerned migrating systems would be a hassle but it was completely seamless due to the knowledgeable technicians at 1st Security. And third, the cost was better than the competition. To top it off, the system is super easy to use, the migration was seamless and installation was top notch... very clean. The 1st Security technicians, Larry and Chris, were prompt, efficient, informative and professional. Great team!
