Out-of-State Moving Service
$28,000
They were 4 days late arriving even though they had the stuff in storage for 30+ days. The price was 3 times the estimate. They arrived late and took an extra half-day to pack. They broke 3 expensive pieces of furniture and are still working on settlement 90 days later. Communications were terrible. I had to constantly call to follow up.

I thought the entire team did a fantastic job! They were definitely focused on customer satisfaction and the first person I talked to went out of his way to find a storage unit for me without my having to ask.

What I liked best about them is we had a customer rep from beginning to end and we also dealt with a few people there for notifications. Everyone was on a first name basis, they returned our calls, kept promises, and met all dates and times. It was overall a very good experience.

Sales person made extravagant promises and claimed other companies are only brokers, wanted to jack up your prices in the end, and 24/7 Logistics where not. After the whole deal, the packers were from a different company (arrived late and jacked my cost up an additional $8000), the warehouse was from a different company (kept my 2400sqft goods for 45 days), and the delivery/unpackers were from a different company as well. How could 24/7 not be a broker?? Two of my 65inch TVs were destroyed, by dropping, and my china cabinet back pieces looked like someone ran a forklift into it. I am know trying to go file a claim through their claims department (Which is another company) who are asking for documents I have provided, but are saying is ineligible. Mine you these are the documents provided to me by the packers and off loaders. I would sell your stuff you do not have to keep, rent a U-Haul, and buy new at your destination. It would save you a ton of money and headache!

the move itself was good ... they packed and moved me on the dates requested. they were personable and professional. their packing was another story. they packed dining chairs in huge boxes instead of wrapping them. they charge by volume instead of weight so this was an issue. also packed empty shoe boxes, etc. which just took up room. the huge boxes they used could not be moved by me (75-yr old woman) ... too heavy. i would use them again only if i could get the packing problems resolved beforehand. the company has great salesmen/women but i wish i had gone with the more expensive company.

Thank heaven for 24/7 Logistics!. They got us out of a pretty desperate situation. We had hired another company in September, including our deposit, to move Oct. 17 and/ 18th. I was assured several times that the move would take place then but no one could give me a specific date. After many phone calls and assurances, they finally told us on Saturday the 17th they could have a truck at our house by 4pm on the 18. This was a disaster. Our buyers were taking possession on  Monday morning. I frantically started looking for another company. Thankfully I found 24/7 Logistics. I talked to Charles Miller, who was appalled by my story, and who scrambled to help us. We had a truck promised to be at our house at 9 am Sunday morning. At this point it was sometime Saturday afternoon. The truck came on time and the men worked constantly until 8:30 that evening. The house was bigger and had more stuff than I anticipated in terms of moving. The men came early the next morning and were done by noon. They were polite and very professional. They took excellent care of all of our possessions including the fragile/exotic. At this point Elizabeth in customer service took over. She too was wonderful. She kept us informed when to expect our furniture. We drove to the new house on Oct. 20. I immediately contacted Elizabeth to inform them that a large tractor trailer wouldn't be able to get to our house because of the very narrow and winding roads. Elizabeth then  made sure that everything to make us livable, such as the bed, kitchen stuff, and livingroom would be sent on the first truck. She did a great job. The truck came on the 22 and so we were able to sit in the livingroom and sleep in the house that night. The second truck was supposed to come a few days later but a day before they were coming I had to ask them to delay because rain was making the roads and driveway unsafe. Everything finally arrived and all furniture put in its place. Thank you, Thank you 24/Logistics for coming to our rescue and providing not only a truck and supplies on short notice, but also professional crews and contact people. I would take 24/Logistics over anyone .

Really upset, took my money and now I cant get in contact with them
Response from 24/7 Logistic Services, LLC
"Hello Margaret i'm so sorry but we have been in contact with you. Unfortunately when our crew showed up to do your move we found unsanitary conditions. And we let you know we could not perform the job due to those factors. It would put other people belonging at risk of contamination. We did propose that that you have someone come to professionally decontaminate and sanitize your place and we would gladly come back to do the move for you. Our contract specifically states that we cannot put our company employees health at risk. We wish this was not the case , but we could not work under those conditions. We wish you well."

On June 26th I decided to research moving companies as my husband and I were planning on moving within the next year. So I filled out a survey and received a phone call from Sharon. I explained to Sharon that we didnt have an idea on when we would be moving but we would be and we would be moving to Las Vegas from Santa Clara (bay area)CA. Initially she asked me how big of a place I have and I told her we had a 2 bedroom 1 bath duplex just under 1000 sq. ft. She then quoted me at 3k with $750 for full service which means the movers come and do that packing as well. What she did not review with me is that what she was quoting on is 700 cubic feet. Even if she had quoted on it, it was my reliance on this moving company to know how many cubic feet a 2 bedroom can fit into. So let me explain what 700 cubic feet is. It is equivalent to 1 bedroom (9x9x9). So imagine having a 2 bedroom with 2 beds, bedroom furniture, kitchen, dining room, living room furniture, as well as the garage fit into a 1 bedroom for packing. This is not realistic. We did not discover this error until in mid august I gave her a call and we went over inventory. She then upped my original $3750 quote to $6700 in which I was not happy with, but after discussing the inventory, I approved it. September 8th, the movers show up. They then quoted me at 10k (total) because of the space it took up to load up the truck. They would not load the truck unless I agreed to the 10k. At this point I shouldve told them to leave, but we had already made plans to be moved into Vegas the last weekend of September. The movers were instructed that the delivery date (2 weeks away) would be Sept 26th. My husband even took the following week off in order to assist with unpacking and getting the house set up. The mover was supposed to give me a final copy of the receipt at the end of the night, but it never showed up in my email. So I tried calling Sharon to find out where the final bill of lading was. She referred me to the Quality control person, Tom. I left a message for Tom and didnt get a return phone call until the next day. In addition, I requested the final bill of lading and I got it on Wednesday. When reviewing the bill of lading I found out that the mover had written down the wrong date for delivery. They wrote down Sept 29th, not Sept 26 which was originally requested. I tried contacting Tom, Liz (the dispatcher) and didnt get a response until 2 days later! The customer service with this company not only knows how to mislead, but they also know how not to answer the phone. I finally get a phone call back. And am told that they changed the date but not guaranteed for delivery on this day. So let me get this straight, your movers made a mistake on the bill of lading, in addition I had to hound you for the bill of lading and now you are going to delay my delivery was my response. My husband and I arrived in Vegas on the 25th of September. We did not get delivery until October 5th and my husband was gone at this point. This was supposed to be delivered within 5 days of the date, 10 DAYS LATER!!! Do not make the same mistake

They gave an estimate over the phone and their price was the lowest, so I chose them. However, after they came and packed, they said **you had more stuff than we thought so we must charge you more**. I was very honest on the phone as I went through each room telling them what I had. Bottom line is that people need to actually COME over to see what you have before giving an estimate. They did it by phone and claimed to have such experience that they were rarely off by any significant amount. After the adjusted charges, some of the other companies (that DID come and see) would have been cheaper. They were quick and efficient, however!

As I speak, 24/7 is holding my household goods hostage while demanding more $$$. I had contacted 24/7 because it was BBB accredited w/ an A rating. WHAT A JOKE!! On 9/15/20 @ 5:19 PM, Andrew emailed promising a CUSTOM NOT TO EXCEED ESTIMATE. After I provided a detailed list of items and packed boxes, A emailed a Binding Estimate. I told A I wanted to read it over before signing. At this point, A put me on hold and got his manager Charles on the line without telling me, for a 3-way convo. C started by saying our convo was being RECORDED, which made me believe I could rely on his statements since they would be documented if any issues came up. During the convo lasting 2 hours, I repeatedly requested an estimate AS CLOSE TO THE FINAL TOTAL as possible so I could budget for it. A and C googled my addresses to check out the particulars like the street situation. When I requested an in-person or video estimate, C declined as unnecessary. So I measured and provided the exact dimensions for each item C later emailed a Revised Binding Estimate (RBE). When I asked to esign it the next day, C insisted that I esign it then to reserve the moving date. After 2 hours of continuous convo discussing all details, and their repeated assurances that the estimate would not change more than a few hundred dollars up or down depending on actual cubic feet (CF), I went ahead and esigned. (1) WRONGFUL CHARGE OF $1136.09 FOR MOVE-OUT. On 9/25/20 the movers came. After walking around and speaking w/ each other in a foreign language, they declared I needed to pay $1136.09 more. When asked why, they said most of my stuff were antique. I told them most of my stuff were just cheap, used furniture. They told me they were Ukrainian. One did not speak English at all; the other did but was difficult to understand w/ a limited vocab. and heavy accent. So I called C, who rambled, apologized, then explained the men needed to be paid for their work before they could load my stuff. B/c I had home renovators coming the next day to prepare for listing my house, I had no choice but to pay the additional $1136.09. (a) EXTRA CF--$614.12. Despite the estimate of 730 CF by C, who is a manager, the movers, who looked young and inexperienced, magically came up with 850 CF by simply looking at my items before loading anything onto the truck. This is ridiculous. (b) PACKING MATERIALS --$222. RBE was supposed to include all materials including $60 for picture boxes. (c) STAIRS-- $300. I had told C I had a 3-storey Townhouse (TH) w/ two sets of stairs, and his RBE was supposed to account for the steps. The movers parked on the main floor level. I can agree to an extra $75 for the 4-5 steps outside the front door but not the remaining $225. (d) LONG CARRY $150. Per the RBE, each 75 ft. beyond the first 75 ft. is $75.00. The truck was parked right next to my TH building and only 2 attached THs away from mine. There is no way the distance was 225 ft away from my front door. At most, I can agree to an extra $75 based on 150 ft. 2) WRONGFUL DEMAND FOR $850 SHUTTLE FEES WHILE WITHHOLDING MY HOUSEHOLD GOODS: 24/7 called on 10/15/20 to say they would deliver on 10/16/20, but insisted I pay $850 more in shuttle fees first. I had asked C specifically about shuttle fees mentioned in their binding estimate because a semi-truck would likely be unable to navigate the roadways around my Md townhouse and my LA apartment. C repeatedly assured me NO SHUTTLE FEES would be added because 24/7 was a nationwide carrier w/ many hubs including in MD and CA, and that a REGULAR, 26 truck would be coming to pick up and drop off my household goods. In fact, as C had said, no shuttle fee was charged for move-out even tho a small truck was used. So 24/7 is absolutely wrong to maliciously withhold my household goods while demanding...
Response from 24/7 Logistic Services, LLC
"We are sorry for any inconvenience Mrs Maley. please feel free to contact the office on this matter so we can see if we can make any adjustments privately. Our mission goal is to provide you a quality service, and to make sure you are fully informed on your move. After a brief look at the file it looks as though there was a small adjustment on the cft. based on additional items not listed on the estimate. The charge for $615 is due to the distance of your move to California. It was only a difference of 100 Cft. The estimate was pretty close. The packing materials were needed, in order to complete your move, those materials come at as cost so we have to charge for them. We did give you free mattress covers and we packed a picture complimentary. Stairs and long carry are accessorial charges that were gone over at the time of booking. Unfortunately there was more than 16 steps at pick up We gave you an extra buffer by giving you two extra steps above the seven which was written on your agreement that you signed. If there were more steps we were not aware until pick up, we did ask you how many steps to make sure we had that covered. I am so sorry if you misunderstood Mrs. Maley, but At no point did we say that it would be delivered in a 26 ft truck. I did in fact mention and ask you if we would have access with a tractor trailer. We asked you to check with the office ahead of time as well. The shuttle charge is not something we look forward to, it is an added expense we would love to avoid because it cost us time and money to do. We have to have a smaller truck at delivery, we have to pay the crews to offload to the smaller truck and then offload to the destinations address. This shuttle charge can occur in certain locations. We know it is an inconvenience but it is a circumstance beyond our control sometimes. We are sorry and we tried to deliver but the truck did not have parking and would have been blocking traffic. The loading area that you mentioned at booking had a height clearance restriction in addition to blocking the gates for the new residence. We are so sorry you feel that we were unfair with you. Mrs. Maley we only charge you for what you have, and the services that are required for facilitating the move. We would love for you to understand that having to do a shuttle is a lot of really hard work that our movers have to do to complete the move. We would want to avoid it if at all possibly, There is no profit in a shuttle service those are pure expenses; Truck rental, paying the crew to do twice the work, it's nonsensical to think that we would purposely want to do a shuttle service. All moving companies have the exact same accessorial charges that may occur. We did give you a discount on the shuttle to help as best we could. We are truly sorry for any misunderstanding we do our best to be very clear on what services are needed to facilitate your move. Again please contact our office as maybe there is a compromise we can come to. We hope you understand our position on this matter. Thank you, Stay safe and stay well."

Hidden fees when they showed up. They would not take everything that was on the list. There were 2 glass pieces on my tv stand, they charged $150 extra to pick it up. The glass did not arrive at our new home When I expressed my concern to corporate, I was ignored. Total move for a small 2 bedroom cost over $3100. No living room set or washer and dryer too. The cost outweighed the move. I still provided a healthy tip to movers because they do not create the companys policy
