2nd Gen Roofing

Alex did a great job repairing my roof dryer exhaust, which was incorrectly installed when the home was first built. This problem resulted in a small leak inside and outside the dryer vent duct. He also gave me some practical tips on maintenance. I highly recommend! ***update 7/21/25*** My home has had several issues with leaks from improper construction by our builder. Our first experience with 2nd Gen Roofing was last summer, 2024. They came highly recommended by a neighbor of mine who is also in construction / contracting. After assessing the situation, I was explained what the problem was and how it would be fixed. After a few more rains, I did not see anymore water intrusion. Fast forward to last week, my wife discovered a water stain in our bathroom ceiling. I immediately called 2nd Gen and they showed up almost instantly. They went through the reasons why the initial construction was done poorly and how it should be remedied. Repairs started the next day just in time for rain over the weekend. I highly recommend reaching out to 2nd Gen for roofing needs.

Amazing work! So grateful for their help. Would definitely use again and would definitely recommend.

Just had a great job done by 2nd Gen Roofing. They repaired my leak in a timely fashion and at a fair price. A leak that a previous roofing company couldn't even find! They are so friendly and I never worry that they will overcharge me. AJ even offered to come back and paint my new vent to match the others for free.

I used AJ and Alex from 2nd gen Roofing the other day to add some ventilation for a bathroom and a kitchen through a tile roof. From the start AJ gave me an incredible amount of time and explained the details of the job as well as a recommendation for an overall minor touch up to the tile roof which I accepted. When they were making the repairs they saw another potential issue on the dryer vent which was just starting to leak. They pointed it out showed me why it was happening and recommended a repair at a affordable price which I also accepted. There are not many companies that I make a review for or a referral but AJ his father Alex and their company 2nd Gen Roofing is one that I will continue to refer out! Thank you AJ and Alex!

AJ and his employee Ed were two amazing people to work with open honest, friendly, punctual affordable I’d highly recommend them to anybody. Their work is impeccable.

I had AJ install some gooseneck vents through the roof and through the barrel tile roof for the bathroom the kitchen and the laundry. The laundry came as a recommendation from AJ and upon further investigation from AJ turns out there was a leak. This young man knows roofing very well and has ethics as well. I look forward to calling and recommending 2nd Gen Roofing and AJ for all of my roofing needs in the future!

2nd Gen Roofing did a great job with our roof repair. They made us a priority and offered honest suggestions. We couldn’t be happier with their level of integrity and workmanship.

AJ and his father are remarkable professionals who truly care about their customers. It is so refreshing to find a company you can trust and who delivers.

?????????? 5-Star Review for Second Generation Roofing I recently met Alejandro Amaya, the owner of Second Generation Roofing, and I was completely blown away by his professionalism, work ethic, and genuine kindness. You can tell immediately that he takes pride not only in his craft but in how he treats people. I haven?t even used his services yet, and I can already say I cannot recommend him more highly. He?s currently preparing a quote for me for two separate homes, and the level of attention and care he?s shown so far is rare to find in this industry. We need more people like Alejandro in the world ? honest, dependable, and sincerely committed to doing things the right way. If you?re considering any roofing replacement or repair project, Second Generation Roofing should be your first call.

I am very happy with the job AJ, Todd, and the crew from 2nd Generation Roofing did for us! Hurricanes Helen and Milton hit our little FL cottage, and we have been waiting a year to get started on renovations. The roof we chose was asphalt shingles in Olde English Pewter, which turned out to be a light gray with a blue/green cast. It looks amazing! Throughout the job, AJ kept in touch via email, sending us photos of the work in progress and the county inspection notice, which approved all their work. Our situation was complicated because of an issue pulling the permit to get started, but AJ stayed with us while we worked all that out with the county flood plain management office. For their friendly customer service, expertise, and quality work, I heartily recommend them!

They are knowledgeable, extremely prompt services,no hassle, above all job well done, they give more for your money.

2nd Gen did a complete tear off, replaced 5 sheets of plywood, and installed asphalt shingles over a ice and water barrier, renailed entire roof every 4 in. Located all roof tie downs insuring 4 nails in ever clip. Tar sealed top of drip edge rarely done. Repaired damage to all corners of facia. Put new aluminum facia all around my home. Completely reroofed a large flat roof section double layered & installed a new tubular skylight. Great job on everything & great cleanup! All ways on time & passed all Inspections. Finishing on time! Very fairly priced & spared no details or did any sort cuts, this was all done weeks before last yearâ s September Hurricane. They came right away and replaced 6 ridge vents shingles & reinspected for any other damage. Found no problems. So satisfied with everything. Beside the ease of working with them

2nd Generation Roofing called me the day after I posted on Angi's List. The owner, AJ Amaya, came to see the project and I received a Proposal that night. We signed the Proposal the next day and the work started the following day and was completed in two days. Amazing response time, follow up and updates on the work. The care in cleaning up after completion was exemplary. We will hire 2nd Generation Roofing again.
