"Mr. S[Consumer name withheld at their request], starting an addition is not a short term project. It isn't a quick transaction like buying a car or purchasing an item from a store. Both parties need to feel comfortable in going forward with the project. Having been in the business and accomplishing projects like yours, we have learned to spot the warning signs when a project is not a good fit. We understand losing ones job is a difficult situation and would not wish that upon anyone. We have to look at a project like an investment for both the customer and our business. Financial difficulty and moving out of state is not a good fit for starting a residential addition. Based on our bank records, we have refunded all the money to your bank. We incurred design and restocking fees for the material purchased but decided it would be best to move forward without trying to recoup our loses. Hopefully our future customers read our full reviews and not make their decision based on a project we did not feel comfortable starting. We wish you the best."
"Michael, We do not use our name for sympathy. We decided on 2Vets Construction because we are both proud veterans of the Iraq war. We go above and beyond helping veterans when we can. We have done charity work for several organizations that helps fellow veterans. This past month we poured a concrete sidewalk, at no charge, for Service dogs of New Mexico so that disabled veterans could make it onto their site. That being said, we are a business and a business can't survive without making making a profit. We don't know what happened to your tile guy and are sorry you feel like you were taken advantage of for Installing travertine and travertine baseboards in your bathroom. Our prices reflect the quality of work our team does and has to account for overhead. Besides our field employees, we have other expenses that come with running a business. We have to take that into account when bidding a job. Anyone can go on craigslist and find someone that says they can lay tile. Their prices could be less than ours but it often turns out they don't follow through, there is problems with the quality of work or they ask for more money after they start the job. We normally can't schedule next day service for tile installations but Alberto was willing to work the weekend to complete your project. On Alberto taking three hours, we haven't had a complaint in the speediness and quality of his work. All customers are pleased with his ability to complete the job fast and efficient. He is one of our best employees and is supplied with a take home company vehicle and company tools. As far as feeling pressured, our policy is never to pressure our customers. We never force anyone into doing something they don't want to do. We are sorry your tile guy fell through at the last minute and your plumber's schedule wasn't inline with yours. We recommend people hire one company to handle their complete bathroom renovation so they don't have to deal with people not showing up, scheduling, or subcontractors not competing the job in time. It's also easier for accountability. If you still feel like you were taken advantage of we can meet with you and resolve any discrepancies. Our first priority is to make sure our customers are satisfied."
