Joe, the plumber as usual, called in advance to say he was on his way to my home as scheduled. He arrived promptly as scheduled, was professional, friendly, performed the service and as usual, cleaned up after himself.

Joe called in advance to let me know he was on his way from his previous call and was running 20 minutes late, also due to snowy road conditions; and as such he even arrived earlier than expected. He then assessed the problem, taking pictures of the piping in the crawl space to show me where the issue existed, causing water to leak out into the garage floor. He then unclogged the blockage in the pipes under the house and fixed the situation; and provided a 30 day guarantee on his work. <br />

Installation seemed to go fine. They had 2 installers everything went fine until they got to the kitchen sink this was only a 2 filter unit that hangs on the wall with no storage tank. It took a couple of hours I am not sure what the problem was. <br /> My main complaint is that they took my old sink faucets and the toilet seats which came off the new toilets and I am still trying to get them back. Nothing else was removed so it was not like they mistakenly put it in there truck. <br /> <br />

There was a minor glitch in scheduling, but they called as soon as they noticed it, and rescheduled. This was not a problem, and actually worked out better for me. He arrived promptly at the rescheduled time assessed the problem and quoted me a cost of the replacement. He installed the new faucet, inspected the connection by crawling under the house. I thought it went very well and am happy with the result. <br />

The people who remodeled the house had incorrectlly attached the septec tank to the plumbing under the house. The pipes installed by the remodeler had to be removed and new piping installed. <br /> I found out in February I had terminal cancer. Joe came over to my home and did a thorough inspection of the plumbing and corrected anything that might stop, stall or lower the price I needed to get for the house. <br /> Joe has always been helpful when I needed his assistance. He always has bee extremely responsive and reasonable. I caln't thank him enoug. <br />

Joe as always, professionally and efficiently and cost effectively installed a new NUVO water filter and replaced an old shower head with a new one that I had purchased. Note, the NUVO had already been previously purchased as well. 2 Thumbs Up Plumbing in Boise Idaho improperly installed my new toilet in May 2011, causing an undetectable slow leak which resulted in a frozen sewage waste line, damaged flooring, and mold. . Two city code inspectors came today to inspect the work, and have indicated, in writing, that "a permit should have been taken out for the work done and the work was done unsatisfactorily. A leak around the toilet was caused by work not performed in a manner conforming to the Uniform Plumbing Code." A civil penalty warning is being given and a double fee for permit. If it hadn't been for our long extremely cold temperatures causing the leak to freeze the drain line, it may have been many years before it was discovered. When we contacted 2 Thumbs Up Plumbing, they came over, saw the damage, and told us not to worry, that they would submit it to their insurance company, and it would be taken care of. They then told the insurance company that we had refused necessary repairs to install it without leaking. The insurance company without even sending anyone to look at it denied the claim indicating that their evidence showed they were not responsible for the damage. We will be sending them copy of cities findings. Guess that the BBB, State Licensing, and probably Small Claims or Civil Court could be the next steps. <br />

"A simple thanks for this feedback. This is very rare with 2 Thumbs Up Plumbing Services. This job took place almost 2 years ago. At that time the homeowner had called us to replace a bad toilet and sink, both which were already removed by the homeowner. The homeowner had replacement materials on hand already. During the install process we informed the homeowner that the closet collar for the toilet needed to be replaced. The homeowner did not want us to replace it at the time, and this was noted on the paperwork. We installed the toilet and the homeowner did not have any problems or questions with our work. Fast forward to today’s comments... The area has been experiencing extremely cold temperatures and many homes are seeing freezing and busting pipes. The homeowner was experiencing a blockage in the waste line for the same toilet that was replaced nearly 2 years ago. The toilet was removed by others to fix the blockage. During that process it was discovered that the closet collar was broken and that leaking waste water had frozen causing the blockage. The homeowner contacted us and wanted to have this submitted thru our insurance as a claim. Our company does warranty our work and products purchased for 1 year, but the homeowner supplied all material and did not want us to replace the bad collar. This was all noted on the paperwork/contract that the homeowner signed at the time. To work with the homeowner, we have submitted this to our insurance company and are waiting on the results. We have taken the proper steps in submitting this unusually rare situation to our insurance and they will get back to the home owner soon. We take this matter very serious and are sorry the home owner is having these issues . This is why we have business insurance no matter how unusual the situation is. Joe came in checked the faucet, recognized it was a Moen faucet, called the manufacturer and got the faucet registered so I didn't have to pay for the part. He was very good about doing his best to save me money. I am a senior citizen on a limited income and he made sure I could afford the repair. <br />

Joe immediately responded to our call when we advised him the water softener was leaking, and quickly determined the source of the problem. We feel he went out of his way to assist us with reimbursement from the home builder who unfortunately has failed to respond. Joe was extremely professional in all of his interactions with us.

A young man that worked for me in my yard put a potato fork tine through a main sprinkler system hose. Water was going everywhere. The young man held his thumb over the hole in the hose and I went in the house to call Joe Cochran. Joe was at my home in a matter of 15 minutes. Joe turned off the water and then bailed out the hole the water had made. He repaired the hose line and now my sprinkler system is working just like before the accident. <br /> <br /> Joe's immediate response was a breath of fresh air. I couldn't possibly estimate the amount of water that would have been waisted had he not responded so quickly.

I recently found Joe, from 2 Thumbs Up, on Angie's List. All of the reviewers gave him an "A," and they impressed me with their remarks concerning Joe. I certainly was not sorry I called him. He was very prompt at responding to my call and subsequently fixed a bad leak in my laundry room. He had to cut out several places in the sheetrock, but they have been expertly replaced and the wall looks as good as new. He also sold and installed a new 50-gallon Rheem water heater to replace my very old one, and also a Nuvo H20 water softener to replace mine that used salt. I think Joe's hourly cost is lower than most other plumbers. Joe is always very anxious to please, and he has a very nice personality.... He's truly a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing work done in their home.

The water valve in my laundry room was leaking. I called Mr. Cochran to fix it, he came to do the repair as soon as he was available because the leak wasn't going to flood my house. Mr. Cochran repaired the leaking valve and then offered to do a review of all visible plumbing fixtures. He went through he house and when he came to the hot water heater in the laundry room, he found several errors that the person installing the water heater had made. The way the water heater was installed could have potentially caused the water heater to explode, just like a bomb. Mr. Cochran replaced all of the piping the installer had used and replaced the piping with the correct items. I would hate to think of what could have been had the water heater exploded. I'm just grateful that the situation was resolved before there was an incident.

We had some basic kitchen plumbing to set up, and Joe installed equipment that was previously used and faulty, and he cut corners using a plastic part that should have been copper, resulting in the leak that ruined our brand new hardwood floor. A trained professional would not have used these parts. On top of all of that, he denied that he did anything wrong, claiming a slit in one of the hoses caused the leak, when there in fact was not a slit which we were able to show him. It get's worse. When we decided to file an insurance claim against him, he says he is insured, yet gave us false information, saying he was covered by an insurance company he was not covered by. THEN, when that company called him, he told them he was insured by another company and that turned out to be false. Edit - Delete

"This was a rare situation in that the members decided that in order to save money, they wanted to help on the project and supply some of the product/parts. We stated to them both verbally and in contract (that they signed) that by us agreeing to let them do that, it meant that they could not hold 2 Thumbs Up Plumbing accountable for any parts or materials that they supplied. The leak and the part that the member is reporting on was indeed a previously used, plastic part. What they failed to mention was that the part was previously used by them, and that it was their decision to use this part regardless of the fact that I told them we typically use copper. When they called to let us know there was a problem, we reminded them that there was an agreement made based on how they decided to handle the work. We still tried to come and look at the problem for them, however we were not allowed in the home because they said they had called someone else out to fix it. In regards to the licensing and insurance information - we provided our Bonding company’s info to the members, which may be where the confusion came in. We are fully licensed # PLB-J-12577, bonded and insured. If we are on Angies list we are obviously a Professional Shop ready to provide not only our services , but the safety that comes with it. This member knew that we were not liable for any work that was not performed by our Service Tech and that warranties were voided when the home owner decided to provide materials, as well as perform any work. We apologize that they were unpleased with the end result and attempted to help rectify the situation. If there is anything that we can do moving forward please let us know as customer satisfaction is very important to us."
