David was friendly, professional and reasonably priced. I hired him to assemble a 12-foot x 10-foot Arlington Gazebo from Backyard Discovery. Since I had some construction and carpentry experience, I offered to serve as his assistant. My son also pitched in, This helped lower the overall cost of the project, which was already on the low end compared to estimates I received from other contractors. Overall, I found David to be hard-working, efficient and good at thinking on his feet. For example, when it came time to hoist the assembled rafters and roof panels onto the gazebo frame -- the most difficult steps in the process, especially given the tight space we had to work in -- David came up with a slick, two-step solution that enabled us perfectly place the panels on the first try. He also offered good advice on the placement and anchoring of the gazebo that resolved concerns I had about those issues. Finally, even though David had to make an extra trip to finish the project, which I offered to compensate him for, he insisted on sticking to our original agreed upon estimate. I highly recommend him.

Originally our project was supposed to just involve replacing the deck boards and railing on my mother-in-law's 16x50 deck in Turner. We encountered unforeseen water damage and original deck construction was of poor quality, necessitating further work. Dave stuck with it, working with us on price to cover additional materials and labor, and the finished product was way better than before and better even than we anticipated. Dave takes pride in quality work and it was a bit like having a construction buddy on the job.
