3D Solar did a great job removing and then reinstalling 34 solar panels. My original installer quoted an outrageous amount so I went looking for a new Solar company. 3D Solar was recommended by a reputable solar consultant. I spoke with David Ringo at length and we had a great conversation about many topics as well as solar. The crews were on time, professional and conscientious and super nice. David's quote was less than half the price even when I told him what my original installer was about to charge and very reasonable considering the amount of work involved. The reinstallation was very good, even better than the original install by another company. They used updated mounting hardware and did a tidy job with cable management. 3D Solar sent out crews right away to sort out a small technical issue with the inverter that became apparent after installation. They were able to diagnose and correct the issue. I am particularly impressed with the fast and effective follow up service. I am pleased to recommend 3D Solar for installation or maintenance of solar systems.

I spoke with 3-D Solar about six months ago to set up an in-home consultation regarding the possibility of installing solar panels on my house. When Ryan arrived, he was very professional and patient as he informed me about everything relating to solar panels. Any question or concern I had, he answered and set me at ease. I was straight-up with him, in letting him know that I had had multiple companies come out with their estimates and, in return, he was always straight-forward with me for the entire duration of the process. After about a half of an hour of conversing, my mind was made up to go with 3-D Solar for my solar needs. 3-D Solar quoted me the best price of all the companies with whom I had spoken, while also using the exact same top-of-the-line solar equipment. The process was very simple and straight-forward. In order to set up a proper solar system for my particular needs, we went over my last three months of electric bills and crafted a system of energy production equal to, if not a little higher than, my average energy consumption. He was able to create a mock-up of what the panels would look like on my actual roof from an arial view. When it came time for the installation, the team worked as efficiently as they could, until the the rain came. They then took a break for safety until the storm passed and as soon as it was possible, they were right back up on the roof finishing the installation. The app they had me download to use to monitor the panels (energy production, energy usage, energy import/export) is user friendly and easy to read. There were a couple small hiccups I ran into after the installation that were related to the panels and app. These were easily fixable issues that could not have been foreseen at time of installation. They could only have been determined after the system had been “turned on” for a few days. Some of my panels were not producing any energy at all. I was able to see these issues in the app and before I even had a chance to contact 3-D Solar about them, they were already proactively reaching out to me to let me know something was amiss with my system. They scheduled an appointment very quickly and somebody came out to resolve the issue within a day or two, which was perfectly fine because I wasn’t out anything in those couple days. The system was “turned on” after the installation as a viewable-only system, not as an actual energy-producing system, which gave me the opportunity to learn the app and monitor a mock of my solar panel energy “production” and current consumption rates before the system went live. Before my solar energy system could be officially turned on, I had to wait quite some time for the county to come out and inspect the system. After the installation, it took over two weeks for the county inspector to come inspect my equipment/system. Then I had to wait another month or so for that to be processed before I could call my electric company to have them come swap out the current energy meter for a special solar-reading energy meter, after which, a several-day waiting period took place to get that processed. The complete process took shy of two full months from the time the panels were installed to the point of where I was officially creating solar energy. NONE of this time was due to 3-D Solar, as they were constantly on the ball with everything they needed to do. That two-month time was due to the standard waiting period for the various county inspections and processing constraints that were outside 3-D Solar’s control. Solar panels are a big investment and they are not cheap. But 3-D Solar works with a finance company that offers multiple affordable payment plans, often with no money down. A big reason I decided to go solar when I did was because of the government incentive program that gives the consumer a big solar-energy tax break on his income tax filing. I received about 30% of the total cost of my solar panels back when it was all said and done. Since going solar, I have had a $0 electric bill (outside of the unavoidable $17 electric service cost). After my first full month of being a solar home, I wanted to go over my energy bill with Ryan to compare a pre-solar panel bill with my current bill. He was very enthusiastic to go over these with me, sharing my newfound excitement in joining a solar energy family. Even though I have been solar-efficient for about 6 months now, Ryan and 3-D Solar customer service are just as fantastic now, with any of my smallest of inquiries, as they were when they were first promoting their product to me. They have fully and completely honored any promise and assurance made throughout this entire process. As I have already to my family and closest friends, I would highly recommend going solar and, more specifically, I would recommend doing so with 3-D Solar. If I had to do this all over, I would definitely do it again with the stress-free, headache-free, and hassle-free process that Ryan and the rest of 3-D Solar offer. Thank you, Ryan, for all of your assistance in lowering my energy bills and helping to keep them low in a world where the cost of energy only continues to increase.

This is the most professional company in which I have had the privilege of doing business, the customer service is 5 start with excellent communication. We were informed at every step from the negotiation process to the final istallation

The sales person presented a great company and said they were the best in the business. We signed the contract and then waited for the permit. When the crew showed up to start the installation, they damaged our roof in 15 places and 3D had to hire a roofing contractor to come out and repair the roof. Mind you, this roof was replaced a year ago with 50 year shingles. Then instead of completing the install right after the roof was repaired, we were put off for almost a month. They came out to complete the install. When the county came out to inspect, they failed due to shoddy installation of electric cables and conduits on the roof. I contacted the owner several times and requested a sit down meeting and to date has yet to come to my home to discuss this fiasco. They turned the panels on waiting for the power company to swap out the meter, but did not tell us that all the power being generated was going through my electric meter as power consumed, not returned. We had our highest power bill after the panels were installed while waiting for the meter swap. This company does not communicate to the customer well and is very non-responsive. I wanted a discount as a result of the poor workmanship but they won't return my calls. I could have saved about $25 thousand and hired a lower bidder. Boy, lesson learned here. Do your homework before using 3D.

I can't get anybody to return my calls. It's been six months and I don't even have a workable drawing. I read all these fantastic reviews on their website but I don't even get a callback. I think 6 months is a bit long to start a project, I'm beginning to think its all a scam and I'm wondering how or if I will get my money back. I've given these people $16,000 and don't have a thing to show for it. How can they have a good rating?

Everything went according to plan thanks to Ryan Swartz. Ryan kept us informed about every step of the process. I give all the credit to Ryan who kept me in the loop at all times he was very Professional and I would definitely recommend 3D Solar to all my family and friends.

I met with four companies, and 3D Solar was by far the best. They were professional and on-time for the initial sales pitch. If they didn't have the answers to all of my questions right away, they got back to me quickly which was great. The whole process from start to finish (actually seeing results on your electric bill) can take four months, so be patient. Anyhow, the install went great, and 3D Solar was good about getting everything set up with the county and the electric company. Any issues or questions, and they have gotten back to me right away. I highly recommend this company for solar panels. Ask for Paul. He's very helpful!

We spent a lot of time researching different companies and 3D Solar was amazing in every way. Our salesman,Chris was very knowledgeable, courteous of our time and very upfront. They made the process so simple. All we had to do is say we were ready and they handled everything. Our power bill has been $9.91(connection fee) ever since. I would highly recommend both Ryan Swartz and 3D Solar for a PV solar installation. I reviewed 5 Solar installation companies, 3D Solar was the best by far. 1) Customer Service and interactions: Outstanding. Sales pitch was informative and interactive, they sought to listen and answer any and all questions. All inquiries were handled professionally, thoughtfully, and quickly. 3D Solar worked to set our expectations in all aspects of the project, making sure we understood the capabilities, process and services being provided. 2) Products and Warrantees: Outstanding. The solar products they offered were highly regarded in the industry. They represented the latest proven, highly resilient, completely monitored, residential technology out-there, all 'standard' components which are easily found, replaced and serviced if necessary. In addition their Warrantees were second to none. Yes, their component warrantees were through the manufacturers, but their service warrantees are unique. Such as: 1) Roof replacement de-install and re-install feature, 2) 25 year roof leak protection, 3) Panel performance guarantee of 30 years. 3) Referrals: Outstanding. 3D Solar provided several local referral installations for us to see and talk with the owners. We were able to see the neat quality installation, and experience the satisfaction and confidence the owners had in the results. 4) Capacity and Cost: Outstanding. Each quote we received had different drivers for sizing the array, and different ways of explaining the proposed cost. We had to discover how to compare them 'apples to apples'. First, the assumed peak hours of sunshine varied between vendors. One of the quotes assumed a much higher number of peak hours than the others AND industry sources. This vendor in my opinion would have undersized the array, resulting in NOT meeting our goal of satisfying our TOTAL electric consumption. Second, I found that the installed cost per watt, was the best way to compare the costs between vendors. Although this was not my top criteria, it was important. 3D Solar provided the lowest cost per watt installed! Would we choose 3D Solar again? Absolutely! Would we agree to show our installation to others as a referral? Absolutely! Note: At this time our Solar Array has been in production a little over two weeks. It is performing as explained so far. I have no reason to believe it were change.

I have always been fascinated by Solar. Always wanted to get it. It finally makes sense and is a no brained once you sit down and look at the numbers. I found 3D solar by looking through reviews on Google. I wanted to find 3 types of companies, one where the reviews emphasized price, one where reviews emphasized customer service and the last that looked like a really big outfit. I had all of them come out to quote me. The guy with the lowest price clearly made the point that he would beat anybody. The company that had a big outfit had all kinds of people calling me and was so annoying and the sales people weren’t trained as well. The company that the reviews emphasized customer service was 3-D Solar. I kept hearing the name Ryan at 3-D Solar in many of the reviews so when I reached out to 3D Solar I soecifically asked for Ryan to come to my home. To make a long story short, the best customer service I have ever received. They were a cut above and the other companies didn’t compare. This is important to me because I am going to have these panels for 25 years or more and I want a good company to help me when I need it. Since getting my system 4 months ago, I have had a couple minor hiccups, not with the solar system itself, but with the consumption meter which was wired incorrectly. They fixed it quickly and now I can record the data on my phone with accuracy. I got an 11.76 kw which is the max that you can get in a tier 1 system. I went a little bigger because we are about to build a pool and that will take more power. The cost of my first 3 bills with a complete billing cycle in the middle of the summer was 1st) $53 2nd) $21 3rd) $28. We just hit October so I am looking forward to my Bill going down as my consumption goes down. My understanding is that during the fall, and winter months when it is cooler this is when you begin to store up credits with the electric company as you produce more power with your panels than you actually use that will help offset higher consumption usage during the summer making your bills during the summer lower. It took the electric company about 60 days for everything to balance out as they put in a new meter. By your second full bill everything is straight. This company is amazing from sales to installation. Incredible. Ryan is an absolute stud!! The installers were professional and did a very clean job. The price is right where most companies will be however their service is some of the best I have ever received. I am super happy and only have one regret. I wish I would have done this 3 years ago when we first bought our house. Electricity costs increase an average of 4% year over year based on a 25 year average. After my system is paid for, I will save an estimated $60,000 over a 25 year period. That is awesome and that makes me very happy!!!

The whole process went very smooth from start to finish. Every one was very professional and informative. Answered all questions thoroughly. I would recommend very highly.

3D Solar has been taking care of the solar panels that heat our pool for the past 5 years. They come out as soon as I call with a problem and fix the problem. David Ringo has stopped by the house, when he is in the area, just to check the solar panels. All I can say is "GREAT SERVICE"!

What a refreshing experience this was! From the onset of the project Travis McIntire was professional, honest, knowledgeable and true to his word. The only surprise was that everything went exactly as he said it would! The installation crew was also amazing. They were on time, professional and immaculate. Our system is up and running and producing exactly as promised. If you are serious about solar, this is the only company to use.

3D Solar is by far one of the most professional companies we have ever worked with. From sales, finances, scheduling, and installation everything was 100% communicated quickly and professionally. The installation team blew away my expectations. Normally when you have a crew of workers come out they only speak to you when they need something - it's hot out and they are busting their tails. Not these guys, every single time I walked outside they greeted me. If they were sitting in their truck/van, they got out and updated me on what was going on. When they completed the installation EVERY SINGLE ONE of them came to my door, they explained the next steps and, again, every single one of them shook my hand! I cannot say enough about the customer service of this incredible company from every department! We are completely pleased and highly recommend 3D Solar!

I highly recommend this company and Christopher Lawless as your sales rep. I have 3 different companies come out and give me quotes, tell me how long it would take and the quality/warranty of their equipment. 3D solar was best in every way. Chris gave me the cost and power producing expectations. I wasn't given a pushy sales talk but a realistic one. I even asked about upgrading to more panels and instead of jumping on it, earning more money, he told me I didn't need and he didn't recommend it. I went with his recommendations and have been more than pleased! Installation was extremely quick and the workers were extremely polite. They kept me up to date on their status and cleaned up afterwards. Chris even stopped by to see how it was coming and let me know he was a partner in this purchase. He let me know that the panels were actually higher level from what I believed I was going to be getting. They were able to find the perfect placement of all the equipment. They worked perfectly within code and inspection passed quickly. Even today, Chris still keeps contact with me to verify that everything is working perfectly for me. I love my online details of the power my panels are producing. 3D solar is also monitoring the system and would know if something isn't performing correctly, which I have no needed at all. I haven't had a full winter yet of collecting power to cover summer charges, but I am already saving money! My house is 2000 sq ft with a pool. Normal summer charges were between $300-359 a month. I enjoyed my $75 bill during the summer. Next summer they should be even less. My May bill was only $9!!! I highly recommend going solar! 3D solar is one of the best companies around and they are LOCAL to Tampa! Your sales people live here. The workers live here. They are neighbors who want to do great work, save you money and save the environment. Please give them a call and ask for Chris Lawless! You will NOT be disappointed!

I had been thinking pf getting solar panels for a while, but hadn't done all of my research. There are so many kinds of panels and so many companies from in and out of the state that it can be overwhelming. I had a knock at the door and a gentleman named JB Masters with 3D solar was asking if I were interested. Without any pressure of commitment, we had a discussion about it. I told him I wanted to do more research as friends of mine had solar panels and I had many questions. Over the course of 2 months Mr. Masters would stop by and casually sit in the backyard and discuss the research I had done. Still with no pressure. After 2 months of this I agreed and in short order 3d solar moved on the install process and JB Masters was there every set of the way. Coordinating installation and activation is between the City of St. Petersburg (permit), 3D Solar (Installation), and Duke Energy ( changing out the meter and acknowledgment to turn on the solar panels) is a bit of a problem. It takes some patience. It is not the fault of 3D Solar. Having Duke Energy come out to change the meter and send a letter to me stating that I can go live with my system could easily be considered frustrating. Luckily Mr. Masters told me this process would take up to 2 weeks and I was prepared. No Worries. There are bells and whistles with the system 3D Solar provided. Nest is a system that monitors runs my HVAC, wireless alarm system (basic: 2 doors), and smoke and CO2 detector. This was installed and is very helpful to schedule times for my air to come on and off. If there was anything I would criticize about about my experience it was a 2nd product that was installed. it is called Sense. It monitors all appliances and outlets in the home so that you can tailor your energy usage. It also tells in real time how much power the home is using and how much energy the panels are producing. I was very happy with it in the beginning but it loses it's connectivity and won't reconnect. Sense is a third party product and not part of 3D Solar. But I can't say I'm happy with Sense. 3D Solar is no longer using Sense in there installation package and I'm sure I will be able to get mine fixed or changed. Overall I'm thrilled with my experience with 3D Solar and especially JB Masters. As I said throughout this review he never pressured me, he was easy to contact and answered my questions. He made to whole process stressless.

It went great we have had nothing but a great experience with this company. Dustin and the 3D team were very upfront and explained everything to us very clearly before we made a decision. We would highly recommend 3D and have already recommended them to a lot of or friends and family.

Everybody explained all that was going to be done and Mike called several times to see how things were going and also follow-up calls too. Checked reviews and 3D and forgot the other one but was based in California and what turned me off of California was they didn't believe in paper trails and left no business card of any kind and it was either text or e-mail. I checked reviews and 3D had so many positive reviews and the best part was they're local. The panels were installed in 1 day and everything was cleaned up. They were great. They came back out and installed the thermostat and switched everything over to solar before that and also set up the Nest account for me. Terrible with names but there wasn't a bad one in the bunch of the folks that were here. We're extremely happy with what we have and even with the Nest protection we have a security system with it. Remember the other company and it's Solar Max. They were here for an estimate and had already decided on 3D anyway but this joker seemed like a pressure salesman. When y'all's showed up for the estimate, there was no pressure of any kind. I did contact the rep with Solar Max and I could tell he was clearly ****** and did a pan on 3D. Told him I wanted a local company and this was exactly what we wanted. Thought to **** with ya. Glad we dropped him like old news and went with 3D. Like I said, everyone was so nice and explained everything to us in layman's terms as we're 2 old farts who still carry flip phones.
