3 Gen Roofing

Everything was smooth, once we settled on a time they were here bright and early and got the job done.

In my experience, the customer service and communication with the members of this company was well below adequate. First, it's nearly impossible to contact them via phone because the number(s) listed on their website and Facebook do not work. They were misogynistic to my wife, ignoring her concerns until they spoke with me. I had to make it clear to them that we share decision making and we speak for each other. They completed the roof in a timely manner, but refrained from communicating with us during the install which led to them replacing sections of my quality wooden slat-style roof with cheap plywood sheets. Furthermore, the house has traditional style exposed beams without soffit, and "current code" nails were used which shredded the underside wood and left bare nails exposed around the entirety of house. This had to be pointed out to them later, at which point I was told there's nothing they can do about it. They reluctantly agreed to have someone paint the undersides since a large amount of paint had been broken off from the protruding nails. TWO MONTHS later, without any calls, texts, or emails from the company I begin receiving emails from docusign. Seemed suspicious at the time, so I ignored it. After a couple weeks, they contacted my wife asking us to sign it, which I did later that day. Another 6 weeks later, they begin contacting my wife asking for their money (which was coming from the insurance company and would be mailed as soon as the documents of completion were submitted). When my wife indicated that we still had not heard anything from the insurance company, so she called our insurance company that day to clarify. The insurance company indicated that they still had not received the paperwork from 3Gen Roofing to finalize the funds. When we called back to let know the insurance company was still waiting for them to submit the documents, they began threating with a lien on the home and swearing "they have proof that they submitted". I'm sure there are better companies out there that will treat you with at least some respect. Go with one of those.

Job went well the only thing was that the guy that came out with contract basically had me fill out the contract and then I asked him what day they would be out and he said Monday or Tuesday and I said when y’all know for sure let me know that way I can have things moved and dog put up. Well Monday they showed up without letting me know. Other than those 2 things I am happy with the job done. Thank you Addison for staying on top of things when y’all had to go pick up shingles because supplier couldn’t deliver them. Thanks for the hard work

They do outstanding work. They have done several house in Harbor Town/Mud Island. The tin roof 3 Gen did looks great. I plan to use them for a tin roof.
