About us
3rd Generation Plumbing is family owned. We only have 2 employees Jason (owner) and Greg (the brother). I have been plumbing since I could get in the truck with my father, hence 3rd Generation Plumbing (Grandpa, Dad and 2 Uncles). We do not use subcontractors, but we do recommend other trades, only if I will let them work on my house.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher. This brand required a different electrical hook up than the old one. Someone recommended 3rd Generation Plumbing. I spoke with Mr. Ceisner, the owner, about his recommendations for installation. He knew exactly how to install it and was professional in his explanation. He arrived promptly, did the work quickly and professionally, cleaned up afterwards and took away the old dishwasher. I was very impressed with 3rd Generation. I will use them again and will recommend them to my friends. Couldn't be happier. <br />

They came out as soon as I called. They got the job completed quickly, and I haven't had any issues with it since then. I have used them multiple times previously for toilet installation, a leak in my sub-basement, etc. They are always professional and on time. They aren't cheap, but they get the job done quickly and efficiently.

This is actually the second time I have hired Jason and 3rd generation. The first time was about 4 years ago when I needed a new water heater. They went above and beyond on that job when they noticed a furnace exhaust pipe was leaking in the garage and sealed it without asking and at no additional charge. I'm sure it only took them 30 seconds, but it stood out to me as excellent customer service. When we recently bought a new dishwasher after our old one died, I knew I was going to call Jason. He can be a little hard to get a hold of and his voicemail can fill up fast, but I think that is because he is good at what he does. <br /> Jason and Grant (I think that was his name) showed up at my house right on time for the appointment and got straight to work. They disconnected my old dishwasher (Best Buy told me the delivery driver would do this, but that didn't happen), installed the new one, hauled away the old one with all the trash from the new one, and then unclogged my drain. All of this was done in just 1 hour. Super fast, incredibly polite, and great work. <br />

First, Jason came by very quickly after I called. While I thought the issue was just a sprayer leak, he quickly connected the sprayer leak with the water pressure issue as one problem with the faucet unit. He recommended some brands of units, and gave me a labor estimate of $100.00. We bought one that night, and he installed it the next day. The job was well done, and solved all problems. <br /> They had to do a little more work than he expected to install the kind of unit we bought. The $35 above the estimate was for parts. This was legit. <br /> I would recommend 3rd generation plumbing, and will use them again. My neighbor, who I do know and trust, I learned through Jason were friends, and he also vouched for his character. <br />

<ul> <li>We sent email requests, including pictures, to 4 contractors for estimates to replace our propane water heater with a natural gas heater. Our water heater is in the crawl space, and is a "direct vent" style, so it is about double the cost of other gas water heaters. </li> <li></li> <li>All estimates were about the same cost. Jason Ceisner at 3rd Generation Plumbing provided the most detailed list of work tasks (12 separate items including our preferred brand (State), a concrete pad, expansion tank, and county inspection) to be performed. Jason responded to our questions about the estimate, and because of all the detail that was provided, we selected him to do the work.</li> <li></li> <li>He contacted us the day before he was to arrive to confirm we would be ready, and they arrived promptly the next day. The installation went smoothly. All the parts were available and there were no delays. We were watching the whole time and asked many questions about the heater and the installation. They were very gracious when we asked to take before/after pictures of the installation for our future reference. All questions were answered professionally and gave us a lot of confidence and comfort in their work. </li> <li></li> <li>They cleaned up the work area nicely when they were done. </li> <li></li> <li>Jason arranged to have the county inspector visit, and he let us know when the inspector would arrive.</li> <li></li> <li>Finally, Jason followed up with us after the installation to make sure everything went well, and I was happy to tell him that it was great.</li> <li> </li> </ul> <br />

The two plumbers examined the crawl space, the traps, clean-out drain but could not locate a specific cause for the problem. The best bet was air in the pipes. After cleaning out the plumbing system we have not had a recurrence of the problem. The best part of the service call by 3rd Generation Plumbers was they asked if there was anything else they could help with since the reason for their visit did not take very long. They helped with two other minor plumbing issues and the results were very satisfactory. Their price was very fair. They even offered a discount for immediate payment, we gave them a check, rather than having to go back to the office and send us a bill. The discount was good for both parties. Our recommendation for plumbing needs, give 3rd Generation Plumbers a call. <br />

This company replaced 3 toilets early this year and gave us excellent service. They even let us know about a rebate that was available since these toilets qualified for it. They were polite, professional and worked quickly. Recently one of the toilet tanks was accidentally cracked. We called 3rd Generation Plumbing who were very responsive and took care of the problem. We intend to use this company for all future plumbing repairs. <br />

3rd Generation Plumbing was great. He was good to me. He was on time. I thought he was professional. But he installed the dishwasher and the next day, our refrigerator stopped working. We wanted him to come back to look at it, but he wasn't very professional to my wife.

"(member name removed), Thank you for the review on Angie's List. I am sorry if I came across as unprofessional when I was speaking with your wife in regards to your refrigerator issue . Your install was completed through a contract with a third party where the appliance was purchased from. This was a separate install. When I was contacted in regards to the refrigerator not working after the dishwasher was installed I called right away and explained that the way the ice maker was installed, that the valve is located in the crawl space, not located in the kitchen sink cabinet area, where we were working to install your dishwasher. Because of the location of the connection for your ice maker the installation of the dishwasher would not have affected the operation of the refrigerator. Since this was an install for a third party, I also advised that the proper channels had to be followed per my contract with them. I explained that the the store needed to be contacted by the customer, share your concern and then the store would send me out to look at the situation. This process needs to be followed so that the proper documentation is in place if there were an issue with the dishwasher connection. I did come back out to your house and looked at the ice maker and dishwasher after discussing the issue, I believe we confirmed the problem was isolated to the refrigerator. I am sorry for the extra steps that had to be taken due to my contract with a third party for this particular job. They were very good. Home Depot told me they did really good work. They did. They were very friendly and did a very good job. We noticed a slight problem after a week or two and they came back and repaired it. It was very good. They're going to be our plumber from now on. They were very superior to any other plumber we've used.

He did phenomenal work! Not only did he communicate with me so many times before he even came, he went over and beyond on the installation. He made sure he put it in efficiently and safely and even did a follow up call! I have never had this good of service from a plumber!
