This is a long review, but worth the read. The short version: I highly recommend Elvis and 5 Mile Plumbing. My wife and I recently purchased a four-year-old home in the Texas Hill Country that needed routine maintenance on our tankless water heater (backflush) and reverse osmosis system (filter replacement). Elvis quoted a fair price, arrived on time, and was both professional and friendly. While the backflush was running, I asked if he could take care of a few small plumbing tasks. He agreed immediately and finished them in under 20 minutes (he didn't know it - but I added $50 to my payment for his effort). We also had a very slow leak in the RO system. Although this wasn’t part of the original quote, Elvis quickly traced the issue to a plastic nipple between two filter housings. He disassembled the system, inspected the parts, reapplied Teflon tape, and reassembled everything — only to find the leak persisted. He repeated the process, but tightening the nipple slightly more caused it to shear. What started as a two-hour job was now stretching toward four. Elvis drove into town to find a replacement part, visiting several stores before returning with a brass nipple and an alternative set of slip-on connectors. I preferred not to thread brass into plastic, so he installed the alternate connectors. Once everything was reassembled, we confirmed the leak was gone. Elvis then ordered the correct replacement parts. When they arrived a week later, he returned — again on time — and completed the final installation in about 20 minutes. The system is now fully operational and back to its original configuration. I recommend Elvis without hesitation. He is professional, friendly, reasonably priced, and — most importantly — fully committed to meeting or exceeding his customer’s expectations.
