We hired 5 Star Chimney Service in 2023 to fix a persistent leak coming through our chimney. Despite spending $7,200 and scheduling seven follow-up visits, the issue remains unresolved as of May 2025. Water still leaks into our daughter?s bedroom. The company tried to blame our roof and solar panels, but water is clearly dripping from the bricks, which are cracking and flaking. The crown?originally repaired by 5 Star?has already failed. Three independent professionals (a chimney sweep, roofer, and mason) confirmed the repairs were substandard and improperly done and that the chimney is waterlogged and still the main issue. Despite claims of honoring their warranty, 5 Star has not provided a long-term fix. We?ve hired legal counsel to pursue a refund and will need to pay a new contractor to redo the work. We would NOT recommend this company.

I had them out in 2018 to replace a wood stove flue. I was given a lifetime warranty on all stainless steel parts and labor. No where in the paper work did it say I must use them to service my wood stove. The Stainless Steel Tee failed this year, and when I called in a warranty claim I was yelled at and told that my warranty was void because I did not use them for service. They seemed to only want to hang up on me and get out of fixing the faulty product they sold me. They do not stand behind their work; look elsewhere.
