It started very good. Justan built the frames and ordered the cabinet doors. He then informed me that I needed to pay for the doors directly - which was not in the original quote. I figured it was just a misunderstanding so I paid for them. He came to install the doors after about 3 months (this was quoted as a 'couple weeks') and left with drawers hanging without hardware and two incorrectly sized doors just sitting on the floor. I've been trying to get him to come back and finish for over 3 (additional) months. We're now 6 months in to a 2 week project and it's still not done. Don't worry, Justan convinced me to pay the entire bill when it was 'almost' done. He got his full pay and I need another carpenter to finish it because he won't return text messages or voicemails. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN. He is capable of incredible work, but don't pay until he is done. Pictures show unmounted drawers, inside corner where not enough room was left for drawer to open, lack of kickers on bottom (I'd let that slide, since I didn't specify,) small gap at bottom, and doors that are too narrow for opening.

This individual is a very nice person and I had no problem trusting him in my home. The work that was done was very good quality but there were some glaring issues. 1. Unfortunately, I did not get a written estimate and the verbal "I'll make wood to match the "V" groove" did not come to pass. 2. I provided the measurements for the cook top at the estimate visit and was told it would take some "ingenuity" but he could make it work. There would be no need to return purchased appliances. Not so. 3. Opening for the microwave was too large and on at least two occasions he and I discussed placing staves to close in the area. This was not accomplished and when I asked him a week later if he had cut them I got a response that seemed to indicate he was concerned about forgetting to correct the opening but have seen no followup in a week. 4. The pantry that was reduced in size to accommodate the refrigerator ended up with two shelves that were 2" narrower than the rest of the shelves. Also, instead of putting four strips (two on each side) for the adjustable shelves he put one strip on each side and one on the back leaving the shelves unstable if anything heavy was placed in a back corner. I ended up pulling out my table saw and trimming in the microwave and cutting new shelves for the pantry. There was plenty of material left over for this and an additional adjustable shelf strip was also left over. Again, really nice guy and the work done was great. Unfortunately the end result did not meet our expectations.

After the worked was done the counter looked better then when I purchased it. He provided a quality product, he was punctual, professional and prepared. My overall experience with Justin was exceptional! IF you need cabinetry or trim work done, Justin at 5thgentrim is your man!

We decided to remove this faux archway/column display on the front porch in order to open up it up and allow more light into the front window. Justan came by in the evening and cut us a deal if we would pick up some of the materials (around $27), he would charge us for labor only. He did a remarkable job of making the open entry way appear to be part of the original house. The project took longer than an hour, but he only charged us for one. I definitely plan on hiring him soon to do seating in our breakfast area.

Far exceeded my expectations!! His workmanship is exemplary!! Showed up to the job on time for bidding, he collected two price quotes for material for me, and then got my job completed very quickly!! I would use again without a doubt!!!

Justan did an amazing job, always on time and prompt response. He did exceptional work in a timely manner. He even stayed late and showed up early to so we could get our house back to normal. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Justan was fantastic! He was prompt and responsive whenever I reached out. He was very reasonably priced and his work looked great when he was done. I even had other contractors comment on how well the casing job was. It took him two days to complete which was perfect and within my timelines. He attempted to clean up afterwards which I appreciated but there was a lot of sawdust. When bidding this project, I did have one other bidder call around to different wood providers to find the best deal for me which was nice and might be my only suggestion. Other than that, I couldn't have asked for a better job and I highly recommend him to anyone! The picture doesn't do the job justice and it's before I had the wood stained.

He can do just about anything and better than the rest. He fixed some previous errors others made. Best of all his work never had to be reworked! He got it done right the first time. Very happy with Justan and would highly recommend him!

Awesome work, completed in the time frame promised. I have photos, but don't know how to put them on the computer.

Justin is a great Carpender and does great trimwork at affordable price I would definitely hire again

He was very proficient and got it all done in a timely manner. He made it look like a completely different kitchen.
