About us
72 Degrees Heating & Cooling, Inc. opened its doors in the fall of 1992 with the vision of establishing itself as The Home Comfort Company in Ankeny and the Des Moines Metro area. Seventy-Two Degrees, what an unusual name, you say? The name was inspired by a relative who wanted to retire to San Diego because he believed it had the most ideal, comfortable weather with an average daily temperature of, you guessed it...72! There were only five employees when the first heating and cooling shop opened on East 1st Street. By 1995 it outgrew its original location and moved to its current home on Ordnance Road. With nearly triple the employees these days, the red, white and black trucks are constantly on the go. The vision of The Home Comfort Company has expanded to encompass a mission to offer customers A Greater Degree of Comfort through knowledgeable people, quality products, innovative ideas and superior service!
