"We came back two additional times to [Member name removed] home, picked up materials for him, performed an act of God practically on his electrical main. Under any other circumstances, the sub-panel install itself would have been at least a $900.00 job. Also, I brought a team on Valentines Day, my anniversary, to [Member name removed] to complete the job. Valentines day was a Saturday , the weekend. On the third and final trip, I did more shopping for [Member name removed], brought the outlet he needed for a particular saw he wanted to use, and I installed it. Everything looked really awesome, and I think I'll post a picture of the final product. I feel like I'm getting a B , because somebody wasn't wearing their glasses. I like [Member name removed], and I was impressed by some of his stories out of Sandia, but I feel like 2.5 days of my time is worth more than $400.00. Despite a degree in nuclear physics, we still had to think the problem through on this one, and I EVEN REPAIRED THE DRYWALL FOR FREE! I'm sorry, I tried very hard to make sure that we went the extra mile. It wasn't enough, so we won't run that special anymore. Day one - six hours and material procurement Day two - Valentines Day, my anniversary four hours Day three - Two man crew, $55.00 included plug, 1.5 hours electrical, and free drywall repair None of this mentions that we performed surgery on his ceiling fan box, which was falling down due to using the wrong type of junction box . We retrofitted about 1/2 of the outlets on the top floor, of which, about four were no longer working. The retrofit, by itself, is always at least $500.00, usually more. If the materials had been on site, I'm sure [Member name removed] would have been happier. Despite the low cost, I hold the EE98, MM98, and the GB98. Each license takes four years to earn. Before that I spent several years as an engineering student, and as a translator in a foreign country, after almost eight years in the US Army.
