"We here at 804 Floors thank you for the stellar review and wished that you had waited to have drywall installed until after our flooring project in your home was complete. Our contract, which you acknowledge that you signed and agreed to the terms of, states frankly that the area to which any and all work was to be performed in needed to be cleared and free from any and all personal belongings and other contractors! We really wanted you to have the best experience possible and it goes without saying that we wanted your floors to come out the same. However your failure to adhere to the guidelines of our contract made this a very tough job to complete. While we were prepping your project, you had drywall installers and painters throughout the house and the area we were working. When we alerted you to the problems that this may cause, you replied that your remodel could not stop in other areas so that we could complete our work. We repeatedly informed you that particulates from the drywall dust and painting particles would no doubt be pulled through the HVAC system and would affect the quality of the finish. We did our best to work with you and your tight timeline but our attempts to complete this project were only made more futile by other contractors walking on and leaving footprints and dust in tacky drying finish after the project was complete. We came back 3 times to redo the portions of the floor that had been affected by your unwillingness to adhere to our simple requests. Just to be clear, this review was done almost a year after we completed your project and we never had any issue with you making your final payment. Your review makes it seem as if you withheld payment for your project but to clarify, you did pay in full on the day the project was completed as stated in our contract. That part of the contract you had no problem reading and understanding apparently! Although months later, out of the blue, you did request a partial refund which was the first time you described any dissatisfaction with our work as we came back to try to make the appearance of your finish better as you continued with your daily renovation through the area. We strive to make all of our clients happy by giving them the best Hardwood Floors possible, and in your case we have succeeded in doing so. We wish you all the best with your continued entire house renovation and remodeling and if there is anything else we could have done better, we would have. We pride ourselves on customer service but also realize that you can't make everyone happy all the time!"
