Great to work with these folks from the estimate, explanation of what they would do to the completion of the job. Even after a few years, I called to ask about getting a new vent cover installed outside the house as mine had broken. Doug Lynch said he would send someone over that day to take care of it and they arrived within an hour. No issue is too small. I would recommend unequivocally.

Its like baking a beautiful cake, and forgetting to add the icing on the cake. My sump pumps empties into my backyard. With all of this rain we received in North Jersey this year, my yard is saturated with water. Cost to install a French drain was surprising. When you talk to the contractor, make sure you talk about the discharging of the water. Overall they did a wonderful job.

Quality of work seems great so far. All members of staff were very nice to work with. I had a few issues with the way the basement/ lawn was left but after letting them know they sent someone out to rectify everything

I contacted A-1 Basement Solutions for mold remediation in the cellar of my home. The two men who came out, Scott and Mike, were great. The did a great job of explaining everything as to what they were doing and the process. They were very efficient and respectful to the fact that I was working from the home at the time of service. In addition to the two men who came out, everyone I was in contact with was very courteous and helpful from Nicolas the rep to Devin in the office, A-1 is top notch.

Highly recommended! We were selling our home and a crawl space water issue came up on the inspection. The A-1 owner (Doug) came out to investigate the problem the day we called and presented a waterproofing solution on that same visit. The efficient and professional A-1 crew got the work done quickly and we were thankfully able to proceed with our sale. Doug was a really partner in getting our problem solved.

Good initial impression- made big promises but failed to deliver I hired them based on reviews and gave them contract to do mold remediation, install french drain and also to install a window. I was looking for an experienced company who can handle all the tasks instead of me going to different contrators and hiring them. So Two Major issues with the quality of their work and also with they business ethics - They quoted me $700 to install a window as part of the total package. The right way to install this window is to have it connect to french drain ( for older houses anyways) - They installed the french drain but said they cant handle a window in the basement of the that size of a Egress window. Now I have to break into the concrete and dig to get to the pipe that they installed and have a third party do a window for me. - Hired another contractor from home advisor and they are asking me a minimum of $7000 to do this work which was supposed to be part of the work A1 basement should have done - Not only this, their sump pump is throwing water out of the house at a location which is slanted towards the house and if it rains , its likely water will go back into the house So not sure how they got all these good reviews considering they did not go anything correctly in the contract that I gave to them :(

I was very pleased with the service I received. I had to reschedule on 2 occasions and Lina was more than accommodating. The 2 gents (can't recall names)that did the work were on time and professional. I would recommend this company.

The plumbing side of the job was done as promised. Unfortunately they had to disassemble a workbench that I built in place. They damaged the top when they removed it and did not properly secure the bench to the wall or level it when they reassembled it.

It was a pleasure to work with a company that showed up on time, delivered the work as promised and stayed within budget (no hidden costs).

We are very happy we chose A-1. The project began on time, a team of professionals completed the job within the time period agreed upon, and the owner personally came by each day to make sure we were satisfied with the service we were receiving. There seemed to be some miscommunication throughout the process. The finished project, although having met the terms of the contract, did not meet my expectations, both cosmetically, or in terms of mold remediation and removal. All laborers who were involved in the process were skilled, hard working, and courteous.

I waterproofed my basement right before Irene hit and I did not get any foundation seepage at all! They did a very neat job. When I came home from work they were done and the basement was all cleaned up. I was extremely impressed with them. I have already recommended them to someone.

This is an unbelievable company. I just bought a new house in Basking Ridge, NJ and it had a serious problem. The floor is full of water even if small rain. I searched web and learnt the problem can be solved by "water proof". I filled an service request on a web site and several companies contacted me on second day. Doug and three other guys came to my place and gave me an free estimate. I picked Doug to do the job because the reasonable price and life-time guarantee. Three days later, eight guys came to my place with jackhammer and other heavy equipments. The eight people worked extremely hard but did not finish the job as predicted since

I called A-1 to discuss a potential issue with my concrete foundation. My call was returned very promptly and the advice/input I received (at no cost) was very helpful in resolving the issue without contracting A-1's service. I found the owner very professional. He could have easily witheld his input until he visited my home for a fee, but he opted to give me input which helped me to work thru the issue on my own.

The company put me on a wait list when they found out how severe my problem was and got the job done within one week - even though the first appt available was a month out! Very professional and supplied all the fact necessary to make a good decision. The guys that came to do the work were like a well-oiled machine - quick and efficient and cleaned up everything perfectly. I put off entering this feedback because they truly deserve a 5-star rating, however, I have been waiting a month for someone to return to fix a small issue. An excellent company.
