Although the engineer did his measurements and explained his findings professionally, I had some additional questions after he left. I left voice messages asking for a call back two times but received no return phone call.

I hired them to check my foundation before the warranty expired. The engineer was very knowledgeable, prompt and professional.

Inspection was scheduled immediately and report came in two weeks. I was able to achieve this while out of town. Follow up by the project coordinator was conducted to determine if any questions or additional services required.

Showed up on time. Explained everything he was doing and reviewed with me before he left. Report was to be ready in 2 weeks. Didn't hear anything so I called. Appears there was a hold on it for some reason and they said they would e-mail. Didn't get it so I called again. Turns out it had gone to my junk e-mail. Would hire again if needed.

Initially, it took over a week for A-1 to call me back the first time. Once I scheduled the appointment, everything was very professional. I am so glad I called A-1 before talking to a foundation repair company. My foundation does not need repair.

I am grateful I used A-1 rather than trusting a Foundation Repair company. I have had several F.R. companies come out and quote me outrageous amounts to "level" my house (which, by the way, needs about a 3/4 inch lift in one bedroom on pier & beam). We called A-1 to see what a Structural Engineer would say, and we were relieved when he confirmed a few other contractor's who stated we did not need foundation repair as much as some other issues resolved (fix grading around house to relieve house from expanding and contracting soils due to excessive vegetation around the premise of the home). My only complaint with A-1 was their follow up. They are always kind and nice to speak with, but in getting my report, it took far too long, like they forgot about us. And getting in touch with the Engineer for further conversation as he said we could, has proved to be possible, just difficult and time consuming because we essentially have to bug the office for a call back. I just wish professionals would keep their word. If they do not want to speak to us after a job, just say so. I hate being told we can contact a professional "at any time with questions or concerns" but they do not respond, answer, or follow back up. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Other than my personal grievance about follow up. the company was well worth the money spent on the analysis and report. Their site has a great deal of information for homeowners that I suggest anyone read prior to getting any foundation work done on their home in this area. Even with my complaint about the follow up, I would use them again. I would give them another shot, and hopefully have a better experience after the job.

It was easy to schedule my appointment and they were considerate of my time line.

Very expensive for what I got. I had to call after 10 business days because I hadn't heard anything and they hadn't even started on it. Once they started they were helpful.

I called A-1 because I wanted to remove two walls to open up the living, dining, and kitchen area. Moises called me back right away and was able to come out the very next day, It turned out that both walls were load bearing and Moises designed the replacement beams and even talked to the carpenter to make sure everything came out right. Moises even showed me some easy things I could do in my attic to make it even more stable. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand. I was very pleased with his customer service and attention to detail.
