Very unprofessional! Offers discounts if you â pay up frontâ Three weeks Iâ m still waiting no one comes when they say. Iâ ve wasted time and money Requested a refund for work not performed. Getting the run around with that now too STAY AWAY !!

Nice guy but was throwing $$$dollar numbers for fixing like doubling the price etc. The work he performed didn't fix the problem and then avoided telephone calls to come back and re-evaluate the job No Call backs. no answering, etc....

This was horrible and rip off, Dennis came to my home quickly checked my central in the attic. Then told me I need R22 he charges me 540.00 he did not find or close the leak. When I called the next day he says his father has to come it was originally his job and for a week he is telling me his dad is going to come then give me a sad story about his dad being tired from a boat trip they never fixed my central air and now I ah e to find someone else to come and fix it and I?m out of 540.00 don?t use this company you will be sorry and waste your money

They charged $2600 for the job. They did not check the total system (thermostat or the air exchanger), they basically worked on the compressor outside. The AC worked and cooled the house.

"We apologize but we told you that we are only doing gas service that day we were not going inside the customers house one because of Covid especially. Job was done correctly and problem was fixed. We advise you once we got there to change the batteries in the thermostat and check the air filter which you had no knowledge of until we advised you."

Came to charge my AC system with Freon. Before they put the Freon in my outside unit I asked him how much would it cost? He made it sound like approximately $175. I thought this was reasonable and figured anywhere from $200 to $400 was about right. It took him possibly 2 minutes at most to fill up the unit. He starts to write up a bill and uses his calculator and tells me the Freon charge will cost $2650 and it took 14 lbs at $175 per pound. I immediately told him no way that is impossible and take your Freon back and I am going to call the police. Now he lowers it to $1300. . I said I am going give you $400 cash and your gonna leave my property immediately. He took the $400 and left. His Freon tank he brought into my yard was only 10 lbs if it was full! It would take over an hour to add 14 lbs to a system if it even held that much. There would be a major leak that would have to be repaired. I probably took less than a lb of Freon. I got ripped off by this guy and he tried to rip me off even more. Total thief and liar do not hire him!!

"We apologize Richard but R22 gas is very expensive per pound and you didn?t maintain your system since installation. Keep in mind we only charged you $400. Upgrade your system to 410 A Freon for cheaper gas rates"

On May 31st he took my full payment. Dennis had me make it out to his personal name and did not deliver the service. To this day, July 5th I still have not had one minute where the system worked (even after he allegedly added 6 lbs of very expensive "freon". He charged me for freon that he never installed. When I called him on it he became argumentative, rude, and scared me with his erratic behavior. Â I contacted another AC contractor and he told me that there was not a drop of Freon (which I paid for) present in the system and had the readings to prove it. (I have a video of the readings and I intend to press charges.)

"Carol, that is funny considering we have a bank statement showing that we just gave you back a couple of hundred dollars today because you have a compressor issue or we may have an inaccurate reading on the gage. We are sorry you need gas for both of your systems, but if you keep up with them once a year, you will not be blowing parts all the time and feeling that way. Not nice to leave a bad review especially when we gave you a good price for the gas for both of your units."

Please stop sending me review things. They showed when they felt like it. One guy Ashed his cigarette in my sons bathroom. Dont like the fact that they came high etc to my home for the second time on a Friday night at almost 10. Tried to get this person bc he seemed nice Wednesday. I basically had to plead for him to be honest. My son was creeped out as was I. So glad one felt it appropriate to throw the screwdriver out the attic to the other as my son was in the room. Very unprofessional. Stop sending and asking for reviews

"Krista, you called us on a Friday night with No AC claiming you have to cancel your sons birthday party because you thought it would cost you a lot of money but we told you to wait for no do not cancel your son birthday party, we will come to fix it for Free! 2 of our workers came late at night to help you and when we got there you were drunk and all over the technician in front of your son. Then we had to come back a second time because you had a power surge and we told you it would be $300 total for two parts."

When I first spoke to A-1's employee, he said he would probably be able to repair my air conditioner. When he arrived, he didn't do any inspection, or checking of it. Immediately he said he could not fix it but could sell me a new one. He wanted me to give him $700 in cash right on the spot, but I told him I would pay him after delievery/installation. I did pay him his $100, for coming to my home. He was supposed to get back to me that evening but did not. I called the next morning and his mailbox was full. Finally I reached him by calling again. He said he had an AC. I asked for the model number but then learned that this type of AC was not appropriate for my situation. At that point, I cancelled & purchased one at a store.

"When you called us, you told us you had no AC in your house and that you were very hot. We came for free and we told you we would go buy a window AC for your window and install it for you for free and all you had to do is pay for the air conditioner. We even told you to pick one up and you asked us to so we found one that is compatible with a wall/window and customers do not understand that that is all they make now. AC companies make them all into one unit. I how customers can say bad things but I cannot say the good things, especially the part where we came in for free and that we would even give you back the $100 service fee or put it towards."

They came to my house on Memorial Day and from the moment they showed up they were friendly compassionate and more importantly super knowledgeable- they did everything possible to get my central ac up and running. I can not express enough how grateful I am for choosing A1 Mechanical. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

This was a bait and switch, they gave me a window AC unit instead of a wall unit. They did not take the sleeves off. It was a completely hack job. The owner himself did not feel good about this transaction. Awful transaction, would not use Angi or this service anymore.
