Tim and Eric removed the old shower stall and replaced it with a modern shower with grab bars, dual shower heads and a much lower threshold to step over. Tim is the plumber and Eric the carpenter. They worked very well together, and completed the project in one day, starting at 9:00 am and completing the project by 4:30 pm. They work hard, and do excellent work. I highly recommend them.

Very quick response. Well experienced. The new part he first installed didn't fix the problem, but before taking drastic measures (cutting open a wall), he suggested that the new part could be defective. He tried another new part and it worked!!! He even drove to another suburb to get the necessary part. He also fixed another item, while on-site. Fees were reasonable. I would use him again.

Tim was able to come out on a Sunday evening for no extra "emergency" charge to clear roots out of our main sewer line. He was $20 cheaper than the other pro I called to compare. I needed a plumber AND someone to fix the surrounding area upon the removal of bathtub, i.e., tilework etc. Tim called told me he would do everything and that's the estimate provided. Problems: 1)no permit pulled for plumbing; 2)two days after bathroom "finished", caulk completely peeled off perimeter of tub; 3)mess not cleaned up. It took 1 1/2 hours to clean myself; 4)light plates don't fit back into their spaces; 5)towel rack not replaced; 6)wall & trim left unpainted; 7)bull-nose tiles not used; some awful looking trim instead; 8)grout has holes, cracking all over. I have tried to contact him since 11/21/08 and still no reply.

Even with the challenge of the old pipes A-1 got the job done well.

They were prompt, courteous and did a good job with my faucet replacement and repair of the line to the faucet. I haven't had this type of work done for a long time, so I did think the cost was a little high, although I did not check with them ahead of time as to the exact fee. Despite that, I would use them again, I would just get a quote on the anticipated cost..

Very responsible, friendly and professional plumber. I called in the afternoon to set up an appointment and they were in my house around at 9.30 pm to get he job done. That's customer service. They were all done within 30 mins. A -1 Plumbmaster is going to be my #1 choice from now on. They advised me on how to avoid frozen pipes in the future. We had a pipe break on Father's day (a Sunday) and A-1 Plumbmaster came out within a couple hours of our request. He found the problem right away and had it fixed within a couple of hours. He was courteous, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and quick- we would hire A-1 Plumbmaster again!
