I had the system installed three years ago. It worked for about a year something happened to it. The company came out three times over the next 2 1/2 years and it still never worked. I finally contacted the guy who sold me the unit. He told me the company doesn?t know how to fix their own machines. So that?s when I called Aqua doctor if your water softener is not working right don?t bother calling this company.(a1) call Aqua doctor instead. My unit works fine now and my bathroom fixtures are back to normal. Thank you, Johnny( Aqua Doctor).

"Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify the service history and address a few inaccuracies in this review. Your water treatment system was installed in October 2022. We serviced the equipment in June 2024 due to a brine line issue, and again in April 2025 for a salt bridge caused by pellet salt. Pellet salt is not recommended for this system, and each brine tank has a sticker clearly stating to use solar salt only. Both of these service calls were completed at no charge. We also use a recorded phone system that maintains call logs for over one year. After reviewing our records, we found no logged calls from you to our company during that period. Regarding the salesperson's statement that we ?do not know how to fix our own machines,? that would be highly unlikely. The salesperson was Vinnie, one of the owners, who has over 40 years of experience in the water treatment industry. In fact, Vinnie trained Johnny. To further clarify, we are on good terms with Johnny and have the greatest respect for him, have worked with him, and I personally still speak with him. We take pride in standing behind our equipment and our service. We are always willing to address legitimate concerns directly and professionally, and we regret that this review does not accurately reflect the service history or our company?s efforts to assist you. The owner Vinnie is very informative. I highly appreciate his honest suggestions. The installation team is also very professional, did a great job. The price is very competitive. As a comparison, I also consulted another company, but encountered a lot of sale tactics. They try to exaggerate the water condition and up-sell their "advanced" system for a ridiculous price.

Vinnie and his team are knowledgeable. The pricing was fair, and they did not call me and kept dropping the price once they found out about the other companies that gave us estimates. A1 Water is first class and a great family business. We visited the new location on Route 23 in Pompton Plains and met family members. It was a great atmosphere. They are very knowledgeable and the pricing was fairly competitive. Their reviews and company was what made the difference for us. We are very happy and feel very safe also having the system to reduce PFAS in our drinking water, that was very important to us. Our Pfas water test came back negative, we were expecting it to come back very low but we are very pleased.

Got ridiculous $10-15k quotes for whole home water purification and was about to spend that when A1 contacted me. Told me about nuances of the various systems. After doing some more research myself, I concluded that they were right. Others were quoting 5-step purifiers with very limited marginal improvement. Went with the whole house salt treatment tank and reverse osmosis for kitchen. Been about a year now and 0 problems. Cost about the $3k range. Only problem I have is that they did not do a water test post fact to prove the solution is working. So I gotta do my own from someone else.

I received an immediate call back from their office and spoke to Mr. Vinnie Murino and explained my problem to him. He promised me that he would be at my home at a specific time, he was earlier than expected. His professionalism and work performance was outstanding. He rectified my filter system, repairing the damaged plumbing in a timely manner. He was polite and courteous during his work. The price for the work he did was extremely fair. Thank you Vinnie!
