Retaining Wall Installation
The job was complete on time. The price was fair. Keep in mind that the height of the wall is not measured from the surface rather includes the bricks below surface. The guy charged me for extra fill disposal that he did not reuse, even though there was an additional charge for demolition. Upon completion left about two wheel barrows of dirt on my driveway for me to clean up

"We replaced the old wall exactly as it was ,same height and length. That was the quote I gave him.After it was built his wife wanted us to add another row of blocks that he felt should be installed for free? We also added drainage gravel and pipe free of charge! We had an extra 10 tons of fill that he did not want left in the woods on his property so I had to pay to get rid of which he thought should also be done for free. I left the job after grading behind the wall and sweeping the driveway."

They did a fantastic job. Extremely accurate and tasteful job for something which is extremely difficult to do, this was a boulder retaining wall. Job was completed in one day and we couldn't be more satisfied.

The price went up after the quoted and agreed price - it should not have. The retaining wall was too low for the height of the ground.

"The customer asked me for and estimate to replace a rotten wood wall . I measured the height and length of the existing wall and gave her the price base on those measurements. After I finished the wall ,she asked me if I could do additional grading work to the property which had become overgrown from many years of neglect which I did . I was also asked if I could remove 50ft of rotten wood fencing and haul it away to the dump which I also did . That is how the quote from the original estimate ended up being higher. The customer asked for more work to be done."
