Hired Ken, took the $5,000.00 deposit for the fencing. Never gave us the pricing we requested over and over again. We even communicated not to order the materials until we had the prices and Ken ordered the materials anyway, still do not have the prices for the materials. Never once showed up to do any work, set dates several times to complete some of the other work and those days came and went without Ken. Then his voicemail was full, he stopped responding to texts. Requested our deposit back and at this point, we have to take him to court through the contractor board to get the deposit back. Ken can talk a good game. Do not listen to the game, do not pay him upfront if you chose to use him. Pay him as he completes projects, otherwise, you will not see him or your money without legal action.

Stay away! Has all the answers! Con man Ken. The 20 years experience was without a license and so many people stole from! I hired him in September 2018 with the understanding of a 2 1/2 week job. In December I filed a complaint with the ccb. In January we had a mediation. In February he failed to finish by the deadline. It was months with wiring hanging out, plywood where windows should have been. Snowing and cold outside. Plenty of lies, excuses, no shows, supplies 3 weeks out. Save yourself and do not hire. The owner Joanna was no help in resolving the problem!

This is my second attempt to make sure everyone knows this company will take your money, come up with excuses valid or not why they could not work with no employees to work in their stead. After 41 texts back/forth starring 12/10/18, $3,000 deposit paid, and 3 samples of tile we bought that Ken took at one of the consultants with on how we would like the bathroom to look. The last text I sent because he never answered his phone or voicemails always full I told him to please refund our money less his time for the two hours of labor or I would use every legal option available to get our deposit back. Two hours of crummy work and a couple of consults does not = $3,0000. He also told us if he was going to Portland he would not charge us since he had to anyways just the supplies which were always on backorder per Ken. That was not true we went to many recognized stores ourselves and got all the supplies we needed nothing back ordered. Plus, the moldy tile he did break down about 1-2 hours left in our tub with nothing to protect the tub, bathroom did not get sealed off for my allergies for black mold, and or worse we had to kill mold on our own after several ER visits due to trouble breathing. Finally, I sent the form letters from the CCB to the address listed on the CCB site and on our contract with return receipt. And the local police office + disputes with my credit card company luckily I paid with a check and not cash as he wanted. Shortly after letters were sent and the wonderful officer at the local police department. Ken called and gave us a cashiers check for the full amount $3,000. I was surprised and happy this did not have to go to small claims court. I wish it did not have to go to the police and the CCB but he was MIA, full of excuses he could not work, no cell service, sick, no employees to work in his stead, no supplies/receipts from him, and alternator truck went out. All I wanted was the bathroom fixes or our money refunded less his time. Just glad we did get it back. We are both disabled next time I will not only check their CCB# and their names. This is not the first time they have done something like this to others
