I was surprised because these days it is HARD and RARE to find a business with happy customer service, thorough clean service, Ordered parts for repair and kept me posted, then a swift repair with very reasonable prices. I am more than pleased. It was like stepping back in time in yesteryear with follow through , great results !! I wish Home Depot and Lowe’s would do the same, they both need lessons from ABB STOVES !!!!

This gas fireplace business gets a no-brainer 5-star and two enthusiastic thumbs up rating from me. My wife and I purchased a house with two old non-functioning gas fireplaces. We went to the other "shinier" fireplace store on 17th and Market and weren't impressed at all with the customer service, nor the product knowledge of the sales people. When the owner started treating my nice only after I answered his question, "What do you do for a living?" my wife and I smiled and suddenly had to be somewhere else. Knowing I'd never do business with that other store, I was fortunate to then find ABB Stoves. I found ABB Stoves Hearth & Home through Home Advisor, and they responded within hours of my inquiry. The owner came out to my home for a free evaluation and to make recommendations. We ended up buying two new Peterson Radiant log sets, in two different sizes, the larger one manual, and the smaller one for the bedroom remote controlled. The installation costs were extremely reasonable, and the owner came out and replaced a faulty valve under the house, removed an old brass insert, and did the whole install in one afternoon. He set the logs and embers up with care and patience, and then was adamant about making sure I was happy with how the fires looked. The prices they charged were EXTREMELY reasonable and competitive (AND THERE WERE NO SURPRISES, THEY TOLD US EXACTLY WHAT IT WOULD COST, AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT COST). The owner and his in-store staff (in person and over the phone) were outstanding. These people TRULY cared that we were getting what we wanted, and that it ended up looking and functioning the way we wanted. He had to pull out a chimney lining installed for the gas insert, it was raining heavily, and he wasn't able to get up on my steep roof to pull it out that afternoon. He came back and did it few days later when the rain had stopped and the roof was drier. They didn't charge me a penny more. I also had many bonehead questions about the products and their operation, and he answered them patiently and completely. ABB Stoves Hearth & Home is a class act from start to finish. We went into the Keizer store to see it after we had already agreed to purchase, and we liked it so much more than the "other" fireplace store in town. It was kind of like a work shop, but it was inviting, well stocked, and the staff was extremely friendly (and knowledgeable). I looked this business up on Yelp afterwards just for curiosity, and I was shocked there were negative reviews. But please don't heed those old Yelp reviews. The owner of ABB Stoves bought the business from a guy who used to be in West Salem several years ago, and moved the store and shop to North River Road in Keizer. It's an entirely different business, entirely different owner/technician, entirely different staff. It's that other former owner who had negative reviews. I'm fixing to sign up for Yelp to correct that obvious injustice in reviews! I had a great experience with HomeAdvisor (first time customer), and I had a simply outstanding and satisfying experience with ABB Stoves Hearth & Home. And I'll say it again. These folks are a class act from start to finish!!! I highly recommend them.

The person on the phone was very nice. She explained how the work would be done. I had a rental & had that fireplace done the same day as the one in my home. The person that came to do the work was professional and answered all of my questions. He was on time and did a good job. I would recommend them to anyone.
