He arrived when he said he would & worked until he was finished. I'm sure he was worn out from working in the heat but he never complained. He cleaned up after himself so there was no mess when he left. We were satisfied with the final product & will be calling him back whenever we need something else done.

Stephen did an outstanding job installing our doggy door. He is working up a bid to build our deck next.

Stefan was great - did a nice job. The pricing was good as well. I am totally happy with the job he did and will use him again.

I hired Stephen at ACE Handyman to repair and rebuild a wooden fence at my rental property in Wichita. He said he was experienced and could replace and build a gate for it as well. Initially he was courteous and prompt with replies and estimates. Once hired, he "completed" the fence in two days and pictures were sent to me. Initially it looked good. However, the tenants soon contacted me to discuss issues. He was notified about the concerns and he returned to "finish" the job (i.e. haul away old fencing, fix his loose boards and address his new saggy gate). He told my tenants they were too picky about the issues they had. So, I flew halfway across the country to see for myself after he ignored my attempts to contact him both by phone and text. Issue (1) gate post was not cemented into ground so the entire gate shakes, sags, and drags when opened. (2) the gate itself is poorly constructed and the wood used is warped on the bottom. (3) fence line is about 5-7 inches from the ground in some spots (he told my tenant that the earth is round so you can't fix the issue...wow). I've continued to call and text because these are easy fixes but still have received no reply. I have pictures and video to support my complaint. Probably my fault for paying the entire $1,500 but I truly expected better quality and customer service. As an active duty military member, I am deployed constantly and don't have time to keep wasting on calling just to receive no reply. I'm very disappointed in my experience with this so called "company" and feel that they should have been better vetted before being recommended by HomeAdvisor. I have used home HomeAdvisor before and have had better luck before after this experience will probably never use them again...and WILL NEVER USE ACE HANDYMAN again.
