Bill Wool did a fabulous job on our appraisal. Though he was a little more expensive than some other appraisers ($495 instead of $400), my wife and I did not hesitate to hire him, as I could tell from my phone conversation with him that he is highly qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced in the field of appraising. Bill is very personable and likes to talk and tell stories (and jokes), so please leave ample time when he comes to do the appraisal. He told us ahead of time he would need about 45 minutes to inspect the house, take photos, as part of doing the appraisal, but my guess he was at our house maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. He actually showed up about 20 minutes early for the job, which was not a problem since we were at the house. He also did some research prior to coming to our house, which shortened the speed of him getting us the completed appraisal report after he did the house visit/inspection. Bill was very thorough in his approach, and wrote a very lengthy, detailed report which he sent to us both by regular mail and by e-mail in a PDF format, as we requested. Bill completed the report quickly as promised. We had the PDF version three days after he did the house visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Bill to others needing an appraisal.
