Custom Looks Cabinetry & Remodeling

Like others, I was also scammed by Nicholas Machado. I also followed up with a Lawsuit and won that lawsuit - approximately $6K in judgment. Now the sheriff will be chasing him to repossess his equipment to sell off to pay me. According to Thumbtack, where I found him originally - they said they have removed Custom Looks Cabinetry from their platform as a result of this. I plan on checking wherever he's is, and posting this message - so consumers know this. DO NOT USE THIS GUY for anything.

I hired Custom Looks to paint the interior of my house (new build), approx. 700 sq feet, with 11' ceilings on the front elevation, regular 8' ceilings on the rear elevation, in 2 colors (ceiling 1 color and walls a second color). Nicolas responded promptly and was very polite and professional. He has very good communication skills - both verbal and written. They (he and his father) arrived as promised, on time, and completed the work in a very timely manner. They texted pictures when they were finished and cleaned up the job site before leaving. It is such a relief to hire a contractor who is honest and reliable and does what they say they are going to do. In addition their workmanship is way above average. I would definitely recommend them and I look forward to hiring them again for a couple more projects that I need done.

As reflected by the other reviews on Angi and google I urge everyone considering them to avoid the headache and frustration and stay away. I hired custom looks to build custom drawers, shelves and drawers and communicated solely with nick machado. Communication and responsiveness was fine until I paid the deposit. There were several issues and red flags and it only got worse. He is unprofessional, unreliable, and has absolutely no regard for customers time. I had informed Nick before I hired him like I do with everyone I hire that my work schedule was busy and if he would be unable to complete the job accommodating my schedule using him would not be an option. He said he had not problem working with or around my schedule As reflected by the other reviews on Angi and google I urge everyone considering them to avoid the headache and frustration and stay away. He is extremely unreliable, does not communicate, and has horrible customer service. I value my time and the time of others. I understand that sometime things happen but to have 4 missed appointments with reasons that are almost unbelievable is more than most people can deal with. I wasting my time with him at all and do not recommend his services at all.

Nicholas Machado with Custom Looks responding very quickly. He came out promptly to my house to take measurements for my cabinet project and quoted a very fair price. He just completed the project today, and he did an outstanding job. He was able to match my existing cabinets in both look and color. He obviously takes pride in his work and cleaned up after he was complete. I have already hired him for another project.

Family owned business and they take pride in their work and customer satisfaction, real professional folks.
