Fixed Generator Installation

$10,800
Everything was done in a courteous and professional manner. The surprise I had was 5 months to get the generator installed, but COVID made lots of trouble for manufacturers. Matt Reeder the salesman was very knowledgeable about the product and process, very impressed with Matt. Equally impressive was the install team. And they did an excellent of cleaning up after themselves.

The electricians were timely and efficient. They wore protective shoe coverings to keep my new carpet clean and ensured everything was in working order before leaving. I have other electrical items to be completed and will definitely contract with Advanced Electrical Services for additional needs.

Most workers, in this part of the country, do not remove their shoes or provide cover ups when working in the home. These workers came prepared with cover ups after being requested to do so. The work was performed quickly. Although I found lower prices elsewhere, I was more confidant in the ability of this company to do the job right, the first time.

Arrived on time, finished the job prompetly, and did proper cleanup of my home when he was done installing the fan. If I needed to have anything done again that was labor intensive I would likely hire them again.

Advanced Electrical Services responded quickly to my request for information. I asked for some electrical work to be done prior to installation of a generator and that was done quickly at a reasonable price. I've since requested them to install a stationary generator and they provided a very competitive price and should complete the process within a month.

Their Tech's went to project and did the work. They did not have any approval to do the work. I had asked for a bid and wound up with a completed project.

Two service technicians arrived and fixed both of my ceiling fans. They came in, listened to me explain the problems, quoted a price, got to work and were done in less than an hour. My only concern is the fee seemed excessive for the amount of time spent. No parts were needed so the fee was strictly for coming to my house and the labor involved in fixing the ceiing fans.

Deducted the diagnosis fee, arrived on time for both diagnosis and installation. Finished the job in less time than estimated. What was really impressive, the installer, Justin, incurred a bad cut to his hand, cleaned it up and continued to finish the job. That was above and beyond expectations.

They were originally prompt and courteous but they charged me $110 to fix our whole house attic fan and two days later the fan wasn't working. The fan was old and I was expecting them to need to replace parts. I was pleased when they fixed it for $110, but when it stopped working they would not give me my money back. They only offered to give me a credit towards a new fan, which was over $800 after their credit. I called another company who told me they could give me a new motor for just over $100. I feel like I got ripped off and they aren't taking responsibility for their error. I would not recommend them.
Response from A.E.S. of the Midwest, Inc.
"We are sorry that your fan that was original to the house could not be fixed. We did a diagnosis to find out why this fan was not working. Under the diagnosis we did some maintenance because the blades were bent on the fan and was causing it to not spin. After we straightened the blades it was working. We then explained that the fan was 40 years old and needed replacement soon. 4 days later it stopped working again. We only offered you a credit towards the new install because we felt bad that it did not last more than a few days. We only charged for the diagnosis which is the only way we could have known what to fix if anything. Sorry"
