"Mr. Nelson, It is unfortunate that your move with us was not without incident. Once you informed us that your wife believed she was missing money our office staff and crew leader immediately encouraged you to contact the police. The crew leader gave permission to have both the truck and the crew searched when police arrived. The police were not able to perform a search due to a lack of probable cause. We send a Policies List with every confirmation email asking customers to establish and label a "safe zone" for personal items that is inaccessible to the crew. According to our records, we have not been informed of any damages to either your possessions or property. We also were not informed of any items that were not moved. We contacted you on 1/7/19 to discuss possible damages and were informed that Mrs. Nelson would contact us if need be. As of 1/24/19 we still have not heard from you regarding possible damage. Please contact our office for a claim form for damaged property and we will be happy to start the claims process for you. In reference to you kayaks, the crew that performed your move informed us that you said you would move them and told our gentlemen not to worry about them. You signed off at the end of you move confirming that all items had been moved to your satisfaction. The sofa that we "refused" to move was too large for the desired location. Our gentlemen advised you that it would likely cause damage to your property if you still wanted the item placed into the desired room. You were informed that you would need to sign a waiver releasing us from liability of damage. You declined to do so and instead offered the sofa to our gentlemen and ended up having us leave it in your garage for donation. A Few Good Men Moving & Storage, LLC strictly adheres to the rules and regulations set forth by the state of North Carolina. We always strive to exceed expectations and ensure that our moves are as stress-free as possible. Respectfully, A Few Good Men Moving & Storage, LLC"
"Our company strives to provide an efficient and stress-free moving service. It is unfortunate you were not satisfied with our service. Please remember, on your initial call with our company, you were given a 1-2 hours rough idea of cost with a 1-hour travel fee. However, before scheduling your move with our company, you had additional items that you wanted our crew to move. As stated in your confirmation email sent on December 24, 2018, we believe it may take 2 - 3 hours with 2 men plus a 1-hour travel charge. Please note: this is a rough idea of cost, your final bill will be determined by the number of hours worked. We prorate on the quarter hour and you will only be charged for the actual time it takes for your move. It was not communicated to our company that a 20 feet moving truck would not fit into your driveway. There were circumstances beyond our control, such as heavy rain and a narrow outside staircase, yet our crew still worked safely and efficiently. Regardless of the circumstances, our crew still performed your move within a reasonable time."
"Andrea, it is unfortunate you feel this was your worst experience ever. Over the phone you were given a rough idea of cost, your final bill was actually less than that quote. As explained to you by our crew leader and our office manager an inventory is always taken of all your items, so we and you have a record of what was moved and the condition it was in when we moved it. As you were so upset over us doing this we did take the 30 minutes of time off your final bill as well as the 15 minutes it took us in travel for the second load. At the time of paying your bill you were satisfied with getting the 45 minutes subtracted from your bill. According to the NCUC Safety and Insurance regulations movers are not to remove their shoes or use shoe covers as it is a safety hazard. Our crew leader and our office manager did explain that to you and we also offered you the phone number for the NC Utilities Commission. Although we were unable to wear shoe covers there was no damage done to your hardwood floors. When items are placed into a storage unit by another party our company cannot take responsibility for packing not done properly or items damaged when placing them into storage by another party. At A Few Good Men Moving and Storage, llc we always strive to be professional at all times and customer satisfaction is our top priority."
