So Israel was hired initially by the neighbor that lives behind me to pour a concrete retention wall. Here are several of the issues I have with Israel himself and his quality of work. First off, his communication US not where it needs todozenHe does not really respond doze next and he does not show up on the days he says he is going to be there. There was a secondary waterline that was in the way of his concrete wall and he said he was just going to pour around it, which I thought was a dumb idea. I personalpineviewcare of that by getting pineview water to redo the line so it would go under the wall. I personally duWalden to the waterline so they would not charge me to fix it. Then, there was a tree next door, in which the roots were growing right where the cement wall was to be poured. Again, Israel said he would just pour concrete over the roots. There was 3 of us that personal cut back the huge tree roots to clear the area for the cement wall. Seriously, who is this guy wanting to be lazy and pour over the roots and pour around the secondary water line. The water line was smack dab in the middle (height wise) where the wall was poured. On top of this, he kept telling me he would grade the backyard with his skid steer. He left the backyard unfinished and when I called him out on it he told me it is not his job to come back and fix those areas that he never leveled. He went on to tell me how he was so nice to me brokeen away ritts and cement curbing that he broke.I told it it was nice of us to take care of the waterline and the tree roots for him. The hours of labor and time to do it. That was his job. Keep in mind I paid him to do aldiadem this work! Yes it was a good price, but he did not finish the job. As we were on the phone he told he he had another call and he will call me back. Nope, he blocked me. So this is especially why I m leaving this poor review with of how he is. He is quite the salesman, but his work it shotty. The wall that he poured for the neighbor had metal fence posts for the vinyl fencing post to go over. The post are so out of line that is looks terrible. He just shoved those puppies into the cement without using some simple string or chalk line to line them up. Also, the wall he poured already has cracked in 3 spots. I would never ever recommend A&I or Israel to anyone. Not even my worst enemy.

Israel and his guys did a great job! They put in a new extension of my RV pad / kids basketball court. He also removed and replaced a section of the existing RV pad that was poorly done by the last contractor. He started work on Monday and was done by Wednesday. He was easy to work with and knowledgeable and came in lower than my other bids. I would recommend and use Israel again.

Israel was very friendly and easy to work with. Started the very next day, gave a great price, and even did some additional unrelated yard prep with his bobcat while completing the job that was very much appreciated and will earn him extra work later this year when I redo my driveway.

Israel sure is a nice guy but... I will just get to the point right now. For Concrete Saw Cutting hire either A-Core or GreenesInc. In Northern Utah these two companies have the Skill, Expertise, and Equipment. Israel is a nice guy but admitted he did not have the **correct** equipment for my job. It was a very small job and I am not quite sure why it was difficult but it was somehow and he did the best he could. I am not going into detail nor a lengthy explanation other than to say I am going to need to do some additional surface grinding by myself to make this look better. I have read the other reviews people have posted and it looks like Israel does a good job of placing and finishing new concrete for driveways, patios, etc. So hire him for that sort of work then. My advice is this: Go with A-Core or Greenes Inc. for your Concrete Saw Cutting or Coring Needs - It truly is that simple. Yeah, I know, you may pay a bit more for one of these companies I have noted but remember this, you are the one that gets to look at the finished job every day.

Israel made a good first impression with his personality and promises. The actual color work was done right. However, he did not initiate communication with us except to collect money. He did not show when he said he would. He claimed to want customer satisfaction but left damage behind. We requested a written guarantee several times but he never delivered nor did he stay around long enough for us to force the issue. Did not clean up the work area; I created a photo document for him with specific complaints and walked through it with him, a waste of my time. They left splatters and smears on the newly painted door and house trim, sloppy marks on a concrete step, curled up edges where new overlay stops, smears of the color on garage siding and railing post, left incomplete an asphalt correction, failed to fill 4 broken edges of concrete, made new cuts that are not straight, did not restore the ruts left in the grass from the backhoe. Israel excused some of this by pointing out that his workers do not speak English, yet he has obviously failed to teach them the job in their Spanish, nor were they instructed to use a tape measure to make cuts. The mistake I made was paying the balance without inspecting the entire area carefully, but apparently, this is his MO. He does NOT abide by his own statement on Home Advisor regarding customer service. Wish we had have read these other reviews initially, would not have hired him. This is an edit. I wrote this assuming I would not see him again. I let him know I had written an unfavorable review, and he rather promptly showed up, fixing splatters, smears, smoothed curled up lips, filled broken concrete edges. Almost too little too late. The actual job we hired him for was finished by Sept. 17, but cleanup was completed Oct. 13, 26 days later. This because he would not respond to texts or calls, showed up hours late or mostly not at all on the day he set. The final straw for me was when he disputed my word about my having asked for a warranty a few times and in the beginning, he said I never did. I do have it in writing. And he told me to calm down. Insulting a customer, arguing, will never win in my book. Check out the Home Advisor Code of Conduct. I am done!

Owner was very honest about the timeline on doing our driveway. His bid was the best price of all our bids that we asked for, and the quality was superb. He even offered to move our mailbox and reposition it so that we could easily back up our boat into the driveway. I highly recommend A&I concrete for your driveway or concrete project.

They did a good job good price

Israel was great to work with. He actually finished a week earlier than promised. My patio looks great. It is what I was promised. My only drawback is the damage to my lawn because of the bobcat they used also my sprinkling system. All fixable though.

There were a few issues that needed fixing, he is coming back to fix it.

Israel is a nice guy and our concrete pad looks good at a good price. That being said we were very frustrated with him as the project dragged on. He was never here when he said he would be and it took calling him multiple times a day and leaving multiple voicemails and text messages to get a response sometimes weeks later than when he said he would be here. Once his crew finally arrived to do the work they did do good work.

Be careful when hiring this company. Israel does great work, but is difficult to work with. He is hard to get a hold of. He does not come when he says he is going to, and he says one thing and does another. We hired him for a 500 sq foot stamped patio and a 10 x 13 slab for our shed. He shorted us 3x10 on our slab. When he talked to us about it, he said he would not charge us for it because he did not feel good about not ordering enough concrete. He also told us that if we wanted it finished we would have to pay for the fees for Geneva Rock to come out to our house again as well as pay for the pad. We chose not to finish it since we did not think we should have to pay the fees because of his error. Because he seemed genuine in feeling bad about the shortage, we had him do another project for us (using his bobcat to move rocks for us). After waiting for days for them to come, we had to call him multiple times to get them to come. He ended up having one of his workers come over and shovel it by hand with our shovel and wheelbarrow, no bobcat. The worker only completed half of it, and when we called Israel about finishing it, he said we only paid him $200 for it and he could not take his guy away from other jobs to finish our rocks. Overall we ended up paying him for the concrete he said he was not going to charge us for, as well as extra for the unfinished project.

They lied constantly, they did not finish all the work. They charged my wife more money than was agreed upon while I was in the hospital.

PROS: I have beautiful concrete ended up stamping all of my concrete and not just the patio because that was most convenient for him. CONS: Language Barrier- I feel like the language barrier contributed to all the issues I had. Yes, Israel speaks English but I do not feel he understood me well. He is never there when he says he will be. Which is hard if you ever need to leave your house. Initially, Israel came out and told me that he would just pour on top of my existing concrete. I did not want a huge lip of concrete that my kids or guests would trip on. So I said I would pay the extra money to have it poured so that I would not have a huge lip. When all was said and done, I had a huge lip anyway! I had to bring dirt in to fill it in when I had expressed specifically I did not want this. Another issue we had a drain put in and cemented in. I tried to ask to have it slopped into the drain. It was not and it is lop-sided and cemented in so there is not much I can do about it. When they came and cleaned up -while they power washed most of the splashes of concrete on my siding, they left pieces of wood they used for the forms and pieces of concrete overspill for me to clean up. When I had Israel come give me a quote I asked for a 12x17 patio. I have no idea why but he thought I asked for a 13x13 patio. Either way, I was shorted. On pouring day I went out to see if they were finished setting the forms. They were. He had it formed for a 12x13 patio. I told the workers that I had ordered a 17 ft one. They told me their boards were only 16 ft. I said, fine. I paid him the next day when he came and sealed the concrete. After, as I was measuring what I planned to put on the patio, I realized it really was not big enough. I asked him to come and add to it. I would pay him for it. I did not take him to do it for free. I even asked my brother to call him to make sure there were no language barriers. I wanted to be clear that I would like to add on, that I would pay him etc. But he basically said no that it was not worth his time. I warned him that I would write a negative review if he did not want to finish the job. Because of the difference between a good company and a bad company is doing the job until you are happy with it. He did not care enough to do the job right even though excellence is their goal. So if you choose to go with I Concrete beware! They will outbid anyone. They will over promise and under deliver. Do not pay them until you are happy with the work. He will NOT come back if you have already paid them.

He did good work. When I paid him half up front for the work that he wanted. He said he would get back to me in a couple of days to say when I'm on the schedule. I had to keep calling him to find out when my cement work was on the schedule.

When I sign up for the HomeAdvisor and I got connected with the pro he was there half hour later at my door and got me on the schedule and his price was best and he a phenomenal job!!

Israel and his crew did an excellent job on a sidewalk going to our backyard and patio pad. The job was completed when they told us it would be. We would hire A & I Concrete again.
