About us
We are a family owned business that has been established since January 2006. The owner, Andrew Bankowski, Jr., has been in the heating and air conditioning service for over 30 years. He is a Master HVAC mechanic and installer, licensed by the State of Pennsylvania to contract work and service heating and A/C systems. Our office team consists of two family members who will greet you when you call. We have a small fleet of trucks, but we aren't over loaded with work like other huge companies. We service most systems within 48 hours of your initial call. We service all makes and models of residential heating and air conditioning equipment. We also service light commercial heating and air conditioning equipment (roof top units, split systems.)

When they did work in 2014, I was pleased. I called for an annual maintenance for my A/C this year and it was scheduled at 2 pm. I got a call saying they would be late and would not arrive until 4 pm. They were not at my house by 4 pm, so I cancelled the order. Don't schedule appointments if they cannot be kept and don't lie about when you will end up coming. Sorry, this is not good business. Don't schedule appointments on days when you can't keep them.

ABJ offered me exactly what I wanted at a price no one could beat. The customer service was excellent and professional. ABJ installed a furnace for us last fall and we are still going strong! I will use them again in the future if the need arises!

AJB wanted to get the manufacturer's rebate sent directly to them, which I thought was odd. Also, make sure you get a readable copy of a detailed contract/invoice clearly stating work to be performed, warranties and payments. They did nice work, they were fast and I would recommend them.

Its again standard rip off company...they told me to start up my furnace. They said start it up for $95 but they charged $140 for nothing he did. No parts, no repair, just starting up of the furnace since last start up was in last winter.

"He forgot to mention That when I started up the furnace it would not operate. I had to perform a diagnostic on the system. I found there was debris in the draft blower that blocked the pressure tube to the pressure switch. he was aware of this problem before I came there. I know this because after I told him there was this problem he brought me a new pressure switch that he had ordered previously. Starting up a furnace for the season is not repairing the furnace. I made a repair and charged him a whopping $45.00 more. This guy just wanted something for nothing. Check my other ratings please. Andrew Bankowski Jr, Vice President of AJB Mechanic"

Called on a Wednesday and the owner came out the next day. Had to order a main board for the furnace and the job was done the next morning. Great service.

There appeared to have been a problem with the outside unit coming on after the install. The technician ensured me that he would find the problem and resolve it. He informed me that he had been installing units for over 10 yrs and he's never run into a problem that he could not solve. It turns out that it was the thermostat that was malfunctiioning. He replaced it with an upgraded model for no additional cost.

I received a quick response. They were very personable and quick to schedule and repair. They arrived on time - they diagnosed and repaired in a very timely manner. I was very happy with them and would recommend them to everyone. My father used to be my repairman and this was the first time I had to get something fixed without him. It couldn't have been a better match.

Quoted the job. Installed the next day. So far, so good. Haven't tried heat pump yet. Not sure thermostat is in best location, just above an outlet, but guess its the best they could do at the time.

Got a response no more than 5 minutes after I submitted the request on Home Advisor. The lady over the phone was professional and courteous. We scheduled for the same day. The tech showed up right as scheduled, on the dot. It turned out to be the owners son. He looked at the AC and immediately found the issue to be the capacitor. He gave me a price on the spot and immediately replaced it once I agreed to it. He also checked my refrigerant level and made sure I am good. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I will be using them from now on.
