I hired then gave Allen Jackson half the budget up front to buy materials and pay for a portion of the labor. When I caught and confronted him with lies he had told. He admitted he did not have a either a business license nor a contractor's license. When I told him I no longer trusted him and tried to reach a equitable settlement of our contract he became belligerent, gathered all the materials purchased at my expense and left. Now I'm out the money I paid for materials (he does deserve partial payment for his labor) and I will be taking this to court. Be forewarned! !

AJ came right over and gave me an estiment for seeding the yard. He suggested that I get sod instead. I'm so glad that I listened to him. I have a big yard and dogs. It would have been so much work and mess if I had just had him plant the seed. AJ was very concerned that I was happy as a customer. He ran into some problems with the existing sprinklers and spent an extra half day of his own time to fix them.

AJ was very reliable, if he was held up on something he would let you know right away, which happens to everyone but its nice to have the communication. He also was a very hard worker, non stop, never took a break or lunch working 10-12 hrs. a day. Not that you should expect that but that's how he was with me. He got the job done in the amount of time he said he would, even though we ran into a major equipment delay.
