AJ's Lawn Service did an excellent job installing sod for me. The estimate did not change, they were on time, professional, and provided advice on lawn care.

After i had our pool installed hired AJ's Lawn a Service to

AJ and his crew removed and killed the vines and roots of the English Ivy and Poison Ivy "jungle" in my back- and side-yards. They cleared scrubby plant debris and killed vines climbing the trees. Then, they spread several cu yds of topsoil & garden loam, and a top layer of about 3 inches of mulch. They redefined the landscape bed edges and installed 3 pallets of zoysia to fill in with my existing grass. They did an excellent, detailed job with all parts of the project, were professional and respectful, and a good value for the price. They cleaned up afterwards, and did everything that they initially agreed upon. Thanks to them I can now enjoy my garden without the risk of getting poison ivy! My grass and flower beds are beautiful! Since this was a large project (3 full days to complete), I got 4 estimates, which ranged in price, method and scope. AJ had offered a couple of options which would reduce the price, but we agreed that the final project would be the best to rid the property of the Poison Ivy and English Ivy. I would highly recommend AJ for both large and small landscape jobs. He has an excellent work ethic and a good eye for detail. I will also have him back next year to do some additional work in the front.

AJ was professional, punctual, and did an excellent job. He did the job for the quoted price, which was better than quotes we got from 2 other businesses.

There was a mechanical failure on the grader and everyone worked together to finish the last part of the grading by hand. AJ was here until the last of the sod was down and everything cleaned up even though it was getting quite dark out. AJ was a hands on supervisor and he and his crew did excellent work. I would not hesitate to use him again.

AJ is a strong take charge person with doing the little extras that come up with any job. He is flexible about additional work that is wanting.... and reasonable about charges. He has a first-rate crew and their camaraderie and efficiency under his direction makes the time fly by. I am VERY SATISFIED with ALL HIS EFFORTS.

AJ and his crew were outstanding! He is super knowledgeable, and knows his craft. He came in on budget, and exceeded our expectations given a tight timeline to re-sod the entire front, and back yard - which was no easy feat considering how large our property is...His attention to detail is spot-on, and he doesn't settle for mediocrity. At first I was hesitant to use non-word of mouth referrals, however, Home Advisor also exceeded our expectations in recommending AJ! In sum, we are very happy with AJ and his team - I will, with no doubt, hire him again on my next project, and am happy to give him a referral! Incidentally, the sod that he provided to us (Bermuda), was super quality (green, lush, and thick soil attached the rolls), and 10x better than what I have seen from other landscaping companies in terms of what you get.

I don't know who wrote these previous reviews, but my experience was totally the opposite of what has been said. 1st, AJ didn't return my call because he lost my phone number, that's ok, I contacted him a second time. 2nd, I was quoted a price for so many pallets of sod, so I said ok, boy was his estimate off, I think I got scammed, I had to purchase 2 1/2 times more. I had no choice, the job was only 1/3 done and my yard was a mess. 3rd, I checked the cost of sod with several farms, he charged double plus labor. 4th the ground was not prepare properly, and the "crew" was him and a helper. I will never use Homeadvisors again. Shame on me for not doing my homework. Very expensive lesson.

AJ called me right back and scheduled apppintment for a quote. He gave me a very competitive price. Started soil prep work THAT DAY... and was finished laying sod the following day... right on schedule. The sod installation was very professional and detailed. Lawn looks GREAT! I highly recommend!

Very impressed with the way AJ's crew worked.They did not stand around .They kept working till the job was complete.
