A Licensed Roofing Company

I would strongly caution anyone considering this roofing company. We hired them and paid approximately $16,000 for our roofing project, and we are still left with unfinished work. Communication has been frustrating, and despite multiple attempts to get updates and have the remaining work completed, we have not received the level of service we were promised. When you invest this much money into your home, you expect professionalism, reliability, and a completed job. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. We feel extremely disappointed with how this project has been handled and the lack of follow-through after payment was made. I would encourage anyone considering this company to do thorough research, ask detailed questions, and carefully review all contracts before signing. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I hired A Licensed Roofing Company (License CCC1329489) on January 25th to build a pole barn. I gave them a 50% deposit, and after nearly two months, they have done absolutely NOTHING. They haven't applied for the necessary city permits, they don't answer calls honestly, and they offer nothing but excuses. According to Florida Statute 489.126, a contractor must apply for permits within 30 days of receiving payment, and they have violated state law. If you are thinking about hiring them, DON'T DO IT! They take your money and never start the work. I am already proceeding with a formal complaint to the DBPR and filing a fraud report with the Sheriff's Office. Save yourselves from going through this nightmare.

Customer service was great until deposit was paid, Worked with Sarah L. Harris?s husband, RANDALL HARRIS of ?A LICENSED ROOFING COMPANY?. 1/3 of the amount for project paid $11,000+, all talk and no action. Many excuses?(death in the family?out of town this week, you are next on the list?) After emails and certified mail, no response and no communication. *DO NOT WORK WITH THEM* Also has worked in south Florida and South Carolina.

After an engineer failed to find a leak, the technicians of A Licensed Roofing Company did! They repaired it promptly. I would definitely recommend them.

They were prompt and very professional. They did a great job and have not had any problems with the Skylight the installed about 2 years ago.

I called A Licensed Roofing Company to get a quote for a roof leak and they came out the next day to give me a roof estimate and scheduled the repair for the following day. I couldn't have asked for any quicker service! Randy took time to explain the quote and answer all my questions, and the two workmen were very courteous, respectful, and did a great job. They removed plenty of tile to be 100% sure that they fixed everything properly. It started pouring down rain while they were working and they were well prepared with tarps and a blower to dry everything off afterwards. They cleaned up the work area very well and did an outstanding job! I really appreciate their quick service and quality workmanship.

They found some issues with my back porch roof while here about the other job. They could have easily just patched the one spot and walked away, but they took the time and showed me what needed to be done and I hired them to come back and do the work. The price was less than I would have expected and they did a great job. You want these folks to work for you.

They are quick and courteous. They also will let you know about other issues and will fix them for a reasonable price. They are very professional. If you need a job done, you should hire them.

I chose this company because my parents just used them for their roof out in Weston. They really seemed too good to be true when I first met with them and that was exactly the case. Our first meeting they were overly friendly and said they would start on our roof that week and explained the simple contract and payment plan. I had mentioned we were shopping around for different roofs and said that a previous company was going to charge us $3,000 less and asked if they can honor the same price. The owner, Randy, stated that other companies will nickel and dime you and with the quote we are getting it would include absolutely EVERYTHING. He also said "Even if we opened your roof and everything was rotted, your quote would remain the same for extra work". TOTAL LIES. After the first three payments were given everything seemed to be running smoothly. I get a text from the other owner, Sarah, who says " Final payment is due today please bring it to your new house and review your final invoice online". I told her I was confused why final payment would be due because zero tile had been laid on the roof and she said that the final payment is to pay for the tile order that they were going to lay down in a few days. I go to review my order online and I see a $1,500.00 additional fee. I wrote both owners asking what the extra charge was for and was told that we wouldn't pay a penny more than what was on the actual quote. They said " The inspector wanted to use didn't boards up to code so it was more money in supplies and labor". I said I would not be paying them the extra fee because nobody told us about this extra labor or charge and in their contract it states " If extra work needs to be done the customer will be notified and reissued a new invoice that both parties will have to sign off on". That never happened. After refusing to pay the extra fee and still brought them the remaining check that we "owed" which should have NEVER been given until ALL work was completed, they did not answer my calls, texts, emails for 10 days even when I threatened to take legal action! The only reason I ended up getting a call from Sarah 10 days later is because my mother called her at 9pm and caught her off guard and said she had to contact me immediately and Sarah said " Wow, I am shocked, I haven't received anything from your daughter". This was all lies!!!! After another week disputing with them saying we needed proof of the extra work done and reports from the inspector which they couldn't give us the tile was FINALLY put down. Once the job was mostly done I get a text message saying final payment is due. This company had been paid in full for two weeks and when I reviewed the new invoice it said we now owed $3,000.00 instead of the $1,500.00 extra I was fighting them for! Randy was good, calling and texting me right away whenever I needed, UNTIL I signed the roof repair agreement. I had to call several times and email him just to get information (contact info of drywall guy) he promised before signing the agreement. Over two weeks I have been asking for pictures of attic showing traces of leak so that I can submit them to my insurance company. He's gone and nobody from the company responded. I hope they did a decent roof repair but I am not sure at this point. I can't trust them. Dear " A Licensed Roofing Company", allow me to tell you what I think is No. 1 important thing when you are in this kind of business. It is "communication with your customer". Maybe you learned the wrong way: communicate until your customers sign their paperworks.

Customer service is non existant here. Sure the roof eventually got repaired, although they skipped some spots and gave excuses why they couldn't anymore, but the office contact specifically the alleged owner could not have been worse.

My experience with A Licensed Roofing Company was fantastic. The Crew arrived on time and a Supervisor w as on site during much of the work. Randy explained the job to me and actually showed me samples of the materials they would use. After interviewing 4 other Roofing Companies, I am glad I chose them! When the job was finished they cleaned the entire area and it looked as good as new! If you want a good fix at a fair price, hire this Company!!!! They ROCK!
