I am the owner of a home with a steep, complicated roof which has many valleys/cuts/sections. The 17-yr old roof had been weakened after Hurricane Ike and new leaks appeared with even moderately strong storms - turning my roof into a patchwork quilt of repaired areas. Damage to my porch roof resulting from Hurricane Harvey was the last straw, it was clear that I needed to undertake an expensive roof replacement. Because of my roof's complexity, whomever I chose to replace my roof had to be highly skilled. I used Home Advisor ratings and reviews as a tool to help narrow the pool of candidates for my roof replacement to three contenders. AM Commercial Roofing (Alan Madsen) which had received a mean Home Advisor score of 4.9 did not disappoint. Even though Alan quoted the highest price amongst the contenders, he was willing to negotiate a cost reduction and was able to offer other changes that enabled me to acquire the best underlayment in the market. His bid also included a 50 yr CertainTeed transferable warranty, which also included a workmanship provision. These features relieve me of near to intermediate term roof worries. While Alan still had the highest bid, these changes more than offset the cost differences. My message is clear, the lowest bid is not always the best bid, cost should not be ones only consideration. Alan's crew was hard working and proficient, and they delivered a quality product in a job that took three and a half days to complete. I am completely satisfied with the bang I got for my buck.

AM Roofing came in and took off old shingles on my house and the garage second story roof. And had new shingles and everything was all cleaned up in one day. The crews are very reliable and nice guys. Also had seamless gutters installed. They also moved the stairs over that go upstairs with treated wood. I would recommend Allen Madsen for any work. I am sure I will be using his services on other things around the house.Thanks for everything.

My husband and I hired A.M. Commercial Roofing to replace the shingle roof on our 1945 farmhouse with a standing seam metal roof, and to install matching gutters. Allen, the owner, is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and he explained everything thoroughly - both before work started and as it progressed. We are really happy with the professionalism, punctuality, workmanship and attention to detail that he and everyone on his team provided. Our roof is gorgeous and, of course, does a great job of keeping the rain out! Thanks to the new gutters, we can now irrigate with rain water. Allen's crew installed the downspouts to go directly into four rain barrels that we provided. We were so happy with the roof and gutters that we hired Allen's crew to come back out the next week and build a baluster and proper stairs on our front porch. They did fantastic work, and we love the look and functionality. Our porch is now a lovely place to sit and relax. Thanks, Allen!

AM Roofing did a roof for us 23 years ago as well as some remodeling. it all worked out great. It was an easy choice to choose them again. Did a beautiful job on a new roof and added a wonderful window in our upstairs bedroom. Best contractor we have ever used.
