Absolutely do NOT hire American Eagle. The quality of work is substandard. The customer service is non-existent. Carl lies, makes excuses, and pretends he does not know that something was not done that was supposed to be done. He hires unskilled workers and then blames the workers if something is not done right. He ignores phones calls as does the office of American eagle. Once they have their money, they are done with you, regardless of any existing problems. I had a laminate floor laid (badly) that is starting to come up. Carl said do not worry, we will take care of it. His version of taking care of it is to promise to send someone over and then ignore phone calls about when someone will show up. During work, Carl pulls people off one job to go work another so everyone has to wait while someone else gets substandard work. American eagle should do everyone a favor and close their business.

He done this to multiple other people. Hes not professional he does use professional people, I feel scammed, he talks a big game about how you will love it but I have a demolished kitchen with a wrecked wall and he is telling me I have to do the floors myself before the cabinets go in. I believe he is operating under someone elses business license.

Terrible! Unprofessional, fraudulent, scam artist, and whatever other adjectives you can think of! My wife and I hired Carl and his company, which I must say he is an excellent sales man, almost 1 year ago! And our kitchen remodel is still not done! After a while there was no returned phone calls, no responses, and his workers were left to try and clean up the mess left by Carl, Paul, and Brandon. I would not even recommend this company to an enemy for their home remodel projects. I have two small children and our house was left inhabitable for 2 months! I had no running water, or appliances to make food. I was forced to move out of our home for that period of time waiting for them to finish what they said would be done within 30-45 days. Which they breached the contract with during that time. It was not until August of 2021 that my kitchen was somewhat livable again. Thankfully I can make food in my kitchen now, but the custom cabinets, which look no better than an apprentice level of work, are still unfinished. The backsplash was left unsealed and I still have exposed wall sockets and light switches (no face plates). I have an unfinished exterior wall, and a large portion of the work promised me I had to complete myself. This experience was hell!

STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN EAGLE CONTRACTING. Breach of contract sums up the overarching project status with American Eagle Contracting. There is no quality in any of the work they did for us. Essentially, they need to refund us for costs incurred to finish the work they started as well as reimburse us for all the repairs we had to address because of ineptitude. If there is any type of class action against them sign us up. For this review, I want to add to the chorus of complaints against Paul, Karl, and Karls nephew Brandon. Here are some of the details in terms of what they did, what they did not do, and their complete lack of complying with the agreed contract. From day one they had nothing, but excuses related to delays in getting the work done. Imagine not having a functioning kitchen for 4 months and a 78-year grandmother and disabled daughter having to put up with all their delays and a lack of a kitchen. Every week I would have to call, email, and text them to find out who was coming, what they were going to work on, and if they were going to have needed materials and supplies. Each week they were ill-prepared, did not show up, or showed up late, and worked for an hour or two. When American Eagle Contracting did show up with materials, they did not fit and would have to be taken back to the shop which further delayed us. This happened 6 times. Karl and his nephew were supposed to be the cabinet designers, makers, and installers. On the days when they did show up, they were always asking to borrow our tools and ladders. What kind of outfit operates this way? On those days when they did get something done, items were broken, or it looked like an amateur worked on the install. For example, they had to come and fix a leaky sink 5 times and it still was not repaired. Another example is their installation of a microwave above the stove they installed it so high, a step ladder was needed to access it. The funny part about this is Paul at American Eagle Contracting was always expecting us to say thank you for substandard and poor-quality work or for them to even show up. Did I mention their business cards says, *Quality since 1991* No pride of workmanship or quality of product we could see at all. After a while, Paul and Karl stopped returning phone calls, e-mails, and text messages. Was it because they were embarrassed, ashamed, or ran out of excuses? As a result of them not getting the work done, we certainly felt like hostages. When it came time to pay our installments, they said they had finished the work but, in all honesty, the work was never completed. To get them to stop having Brandon and the other workers from the company trying to collect more money from us we finally had to tell them that either Paul or Karl would have to come check on the project and discuss all the upfront money they insisted we pay. Of course, Paul nor Karl ever came to check on the project after 4 months of the project. From that point forward we felt we were being punished because we decided not to give them any more money until work was completed. They left us with unfinished cabinets, cabinets falling apart, cabinet doors that do not close, countertops that do not match, they promised us slow closing cabinets and only did half of them were done, broken dry wall, broken tile, dents in our brand-new kitchen appliances, damaged entryways, and debris piled everywhere. We made a terrible mistake in relying on an online company to match us with a qualified, curated, and legitimate contractor. The larger mistake we made was doing business with American Eagle Contracting. We are still trying to complete, fix, and redo the horrible job they did. Again, STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN EAGLE CONTRACTING. It is no wonder they have poor reviews and a history of license issues in the State of California.

Do not hire American eagle My kitchen is still not done not to mention that Kitchen was ordered in mid April Upper doors are not aligned and warped and different spaces between each door in the cabinet And American eagle did not deliver cabinets that I ordered They decided what I should get instead and do not want rectify their mistakes. Also American eagle got paid for the cabinets, demoed my kitchen and vanities beginning of July and didnâ t show up for 3 months leaving me without sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms and no dishwasher hookup. They should not be aloud to operate under Home Adviser at all. Bottom line I did not get the kitchen I ordered and 8 months later itâ s still not finished

Revised review- Nancy L. Riverside. Carl Bailey has a great personality, but his ill health, and three employees leaving, has resulted in our kitchen remodel about 80% incomplete. $13,000 paid, almost a full payment, but for several weeks, no progress, and now for the last week, no response to phone calls. I really like Carl, but I can't recommend that anyone hire him because we feel that he abandoned us and the kitchen remodel. The items needed to be completed are installation of a refrigerator cabinet, completion of the upper cabinet installation, drawers, cabinet doors, tile backsplash, and completion of installation of microwave and convection oven. None of the items seem to be related to a supply chain issue, or lack of product needed to finish, but an inability to coordinate workers, retain workers, and adhere to deadlines and contract agreeements.

I hired American Eagle Contracting in March 2021 for a kitchen remodel project at our home in Palm Desert, CA. Work commenced on June 1, 2021, and was to be completed on July 15, 2021 (per our executed contract). Unfortunately, we had to be away during the summer for my husband to have needed surgeries in Oregon. During the summer, I experienced many difficulties getting in touch with American Eagles project salesperson/supervisor. The owner of American Eagle, Paul Gallardo, has apparently adopted an AWOL posture in as much as he consistently ignored my attempted project inquiries. When I did make contact with the salesperson/supervisor, he provided an abundance of excuses (supply chain delays, Covid-19, workers not showing up, etc.) and he never once supplied project photos - even as I consistently requested that he do so. When he asked for project payments, however, he was quick to supply rosy estimates of final completion while also misrepresenting advancements made on project tasks. Approximately two weeks prior to our return home on October 20, 2021, our next-door neighbor entered our home and recorded videos of our kitchen clearly revealing that, in fact, only about 25% of the project was completed - and there remained a mountain of construction debris in our courtyard. When I finally was able to raise this situation on a call with the project supervisor, it became obvious to me that he had not visited our site during the entire summer - and I had already paid his firm 86% of their quotation for a finished job! When we returned home, three-and-one-half months beyond the contract specified completion date, our kitchen was a full-blown disaster. Completely unusable. This led to a number of stern phone calls to the supervisor on behalf of myself and my husband garnering commitments to get materials and workmen on-site immediately. However, when American Eagle workers and project materials finally arrived, we discovered they were ignoring clearly drawn, specified, and agreed-upon dimensions (I am a professional designer, and my drawings and specifications are and were, UN-ambiguous). The main quartz countertop delivered lacked several inches of depth and had to be removed and re-fabricated, and the installed floating shelves were sized at a 9 34; depth, not the clearly specified 12 and 34 depth - so now, I will be unable to stack plates on any of them as I had intended. Kitchen pantry cabinets were twice delivered and installed, and twice removed due to failure to match the specified configuration and dimensions. When we pleaded for American Eagle to, at least, install our sink, faucet, disposal, and dishwasher to provide a FUNCTIONAL kitchen they dispatched a young man who spent most of a whole day attempting to complete the required tasks. When, during the following morning, my husband first turned on the installed faucet, he heard a loud bang as an object dropped to the bottom of the cabinet under the sink, and water began gushing out to flood the cabinet and kitchen floor. This was the final straw. We have now been forced to bring in a new contractor (which, will in all likelihood, significantly escalate the project cost). Yet, they were able to immediately correct American Eagles faucet installation errors and finally provide an operable kitchen. We have demanded a calibrated refund from American Eagle Contracting.

American Eagle remodeled my kitchen July of 2020. Excellent work on the cabinets and counter tops. Very happy with they way turned out. Carl Bailey was very professional and straight to the point. He went over different kitchen designs and products that would best suit the layout of my kitchen. The best part is the cabinets were made custom and not pre-made cabinets. They are now in the process of remodeling my bathrooms. Carl also went different designs for my bathrooms. I am very pleased with all the hard and detailed work they have done so far.

CARL BAILEY is a scammer and do not use him. He got my money almost 16 thousand dollar he is not responding to emails, phone calls or text messages. If you need more information you can call me at xxx.xxx.xxxx. He did not complete my work, he keeps telling one lie after another, he keep asking for more money and after he got his money nothing else has been done in my house. Carl, Paul and Carl nephew Brandon are all working together.

Carl Bailey is a fraud and a terrible person to do business with. We have been waiting FOUR months for a total bathroom remodel. After we paid him, he went on a 3-week vacation, and so did his crew. Nobody was around. The one person he hired to help did our shower and its beautiful work. Nobody else can be found. A painter finally came, did a terrible job, and another one came in and did a terrible job. It has been 3 weeks, and Carl will hide behind his phone, not call, not return any calls or man up about this situation. At all. He does not care about being sued and will treat you like you are his best friend until he gets money from you. He has terrible reviews and worse, he takes advantage of seniors, as he is now. My husband has a shoulder replacement, and hoping to be independent with a shower, he cannot. FOUR MONTHS, and its just a shower done, nothing else as he has promised. Carl Bailey and his partner, Paul Galardo work together under one license number, and its not Carls. He has no morale compass. I will make sure this job gets done by lawsuit or otherwise. Do NOT use this person. American Eagle reviews that are gracious are those from the San Diego location, not this one. Beware.

Pros: The cost for the project was very reasonable and the product looks nice. There are some minor flaws, however. The owner, Paul, has been pleasant and responsive to phone calls. When work has been done incorrectly (which has happened so often - this is a definite negative and has delayed project immensely) the project manager has made sure it is corrected, although not very timely. Cons: The project manager has been dishonest, unresponsive, disorganized, and rude. He often blamed us for his mistakes. The project is now 60 days past contract completion due date and still not done. At times no one has shown up for as much as a month, nor does anyone call. Also, only 1 person has shown up for a 2 person job at times and we, as homeowners have had to work as well. They also don't take measures to protect the work area from damage and debris. Company lacks professionalism and integrity all the way around.

They have not finished our project to date. Carl Bailey started out communicating well, but stopped communicating as we got further into the project. There are lots of mistakes in the cabinets and the stain looks like a child did it. Their demo team did not try to keep the dust down when demoing the tile floor. Therefore, we have had to have all duct work cleaned and bring in a team to do deep cleaning of walls, ceilings, doors, etc. They have not installed all of the baseboards, kitchen cabinets doors, island backing nor other accessories for the cabinets. We had to pay someone else to install the bathroom countertop, sinks and faucets which means we paid twice. Carl is very good at explaining why they have a few bad reviews so we contracted with them. Our experience has now been consistent with many other customers that we have spoken with. They set-up the contract to get a lot of upfront money. Their milestones are not connected to finishing things and if you complain they put your project on the back burner. Carl agreed to add in a service agreement that they would complete the kitchen (which includes the guest bath and hallway cabinets) within 30 business days or we can start deducting $100 a day for every day they are late. We thought that would help keep the project on track. He refused to give us a schedule to outline when each segment of the project would be completed and 30 business days later, they were not finished. As of this review they are now 44 days past the 30 days which is $4,400 to be deducted. We have already paid him $23,000 and there is no completion date identified nor have they finished the project. They are not honest and they have no integrity.

Extremely unsatisfied with American Eagle, San Jacinto CA. License #613620. We believe we have been scammed by Carl Bailey and Paul Gallardo. Carl took our order on a contract to move some kitchen cabinets and provide granite countertops. He took a deposit of one-third the price, which is $1867 on March 31, 2021, and said the work would start in 8 weeks. We got hold of Paul after the 8 weeks and he said it would be two more weeks. After that Paul does not answer his phone or return our multiple calls and messages. Carl did not provide his contact information. We are not at all satisfied and plan to report them for this fraud. We are hoping to recover our down payment and find an honest contractor.
Response from American Eagle
"We were 6 - 8 weeks out on scheduling especially with COVID and I communicated the delay and personnel issues. Understandably we were not able to complete the project as first quoted. And after careful consideration refund was provided."

When we arrived in Palm Springs, we did not know of any contractors. Our new home was in need of extensive renovations. Through Home Advisors, we found American Eagle and Carl Bailey. We were impressed with his straightforward manner and open interactions. The costs were in line with what we anticipated, and they handled all of our remodeling needs. We are glad that we hired American Eagle and have been extremely satisfied with their work in our home.
