Your company began a construction job on approximately September 12th, 2022, on a single room of our home. During the first week of construction one of your employees took a handgun from a cabinet that he had absolutely no business being in, took a photo of the firearm in the restroom and attempted to sell the item to another person (A fellow employee). Had that coworker not been a decent person and reported it, the handgun would have never been able to be retrieve. My understanding is that the employee was terminated however I do not believe that your company did enough to rectify the issue. Approximately 2 weeks later, we quickly experience your company has only one employee to work on this project. Sometimes this employee arrives in the afternoon or does not arrive at all with little to zero notice. My mother works from home and no consideration to her schedule was ever taken. My father who is retired is also at home with many health issues and there were zero consideration for him as well. The employee doing the majority of the work, was power sanding in the living area of the home that is directly the center of the household (Connected to living area, dining room, kitchen, and basement stairs). While power sanding the drywall (BTW this is very cancerous and very deadly to those with respiratory issues) not a single layer of plastic or protection to my family was put in place as a barrier (N95, a filtered respirator). My mother who works from home was completely covered in drywall dust and my father was sitting on the couch also covered in dust at this same time. There was not one single piece of plastic used to any of the furniture in the area either. Upon my arrival with my wife and four kids for dinner I quickly turned around to get out of the home and we remained in the garage until the dust was able to settle. Instead of dinner, we spent at least 4 hours vacuuming, dusting, wiping the living area, dining room, kitchen, and the hallway walls when we finally gave up. At this current moment, the entire basement, bedrooms, and bathrooms are still covered with drywall dust. This includes every porous piece of furniture to include what has been used daily by my dad to nap/sleep on due to his ongoing medical issues which are full of dangerous contaminates. He is currently being treated with chemotherapy to rid the cancer he is already going through. I have been to my family*s home on several occasions during the past month and to say, **it is okay* *to leave debris, dangerous tools and other garbage in the home is despicable. My sister has left multiple voicemails and she has been promised on several occasions someone would be at the home to finish the job. Their whole living area has been a construction site for a lot longer than expected. They were told that there is only one guy who knows how to do finish the job and he got sick with COVID so the job has been put on hold. That does not make any sense. This job has already gone more than 6 weeks and it is not even completed, and payment of all services have been paid in full including those that are still left incomplete. We are unable to enjoy family gatherings with my parents, my kids are not able to spend time with their grandparents due to your company negligence and inconsideration. This is completely a selfish move on your part, and I am not willing to remain silent while they are taken advantage by you and your company. I am honestly concerned on the legitimacy of your business. I was informed my sister **paid in full** for the job. This is one of the most corrupt things a **contractor** could do. I have personally taken part in dozens of residential and commercial projects, and I have never had a legitimate company accept 100% of the payment prior to the work being completed. You make every daytime court show reality.
