I hired to replace balast in kitchen (3 replaced) and to paint front door (he did not think worthwhile). Was billed for 4 hrs work even though 1 hr was discussing possible future work and another hr he was gone to Home Depot to pick up materials. Total billed was nearly $500. Andre Ferre was to submit a quote to convert part of garage to a downstairs bedroom. After more than a week I am still waiting for the quote and rough plans as we discussed in detail while he was here.

Too expensive! Paid $155 for 1 hr, the problem was identified. I was told the part had to be ordered. I was also told it would be another$155 for the first hr, $80 /hr thereafter once the part is received. He told me that it is the price because I live far. A few days later the problem was fixed for the fraction of the previous price by a licensed contractor.

We had a leaky kitchen sink. We had purchased a new sink, but were not confident in our ability to take out the old and put in the new. We spoke with AMF and they came by the next morning. We were quite glad we did not attempt the replacement ourselves, as it became a bit tricky. But the new sink is working beautifully and another pipe that was loose was repaired at the same time. They pointed out areas under the sink that would begin giving us problems soon and offered to set up new appointments to repair them in the next days. In all, we were very satisfied with the work done and the price.
