Brian came to my parentsâ house to check out water damage. It turned out that there was mold damage too. In addition, apparently in NY, if there is mold in your house, you must get a NY State licensed mold assessor to determine everywhere that mold is or could be. Brian gave me the name of three different mold assessors. I called all three assessors and they all sounded great on the phone. We called one and he came to the house and was fantastic at his job. After he was done, Brian came in and did the initial evaluation and gave us a quote. It was a very reasonable quote. Then Brian-at times-and his crew, worked on my parentsâ house. But they didnâ t just do the work. They also took care of my elderly parents. For one thing they had to work very carefully around my parents. They made sure my parents understood that they couldnâ t go where they were doing their demo. They made sure my parents were in no danger. In addition they did things to help my parents. For example, because they had to block off my parentsâ only route to get out of the house (unless there was an emergency of course), Brian or one of his workers got my parentsâ mail for those few days and also brought any mail my parents had out to their mailbox. They also brought my parentsâ trash downstairs and into the garage. The work they did was great. They recommended that we get the assessor back in when they were mostly done to check again and make sure everything looked good and that there was minimal mold in the air. The assessor added a few things to do and Brian and his team responded well to that and did the work. Brian also helped with a related situation that arose. Because water leaked down from above onto the door from the garage to the basement, the door suddenly warped such that it was difficult for my parents to open or shut it. The door actually got stuck open for a while. Brian recommended someone who came and planed the door down so my parents could close it. The person could have replaced the entire door but only did the minimal amount of work to not charge my parents very much money. Brian was also helpful when it came to emailing with me to explain things when necessary as well as writing what he could about our situation so that we can pursue getting the insurance company to cover the damages from the mold and water. Brian was a very helpful, experienced worker. His team did great work. They also went above and beyond in terms of my parents. The work they did was great. I would very highly recommend Brian and AMH Restoration to do any and all mold remediation.
