All Circuit breakers are old and not good, Dishwasher is not draining properly, Refrigerator is leaking water inside, Kitchen sink is not draining properly, Electric stove power outlet is not working, half bath/powder room sink drain water stopper is not working, etc., some more problems like this. We hired licensed home inspector but it is not worthy choosing AMK Home Inspection as I paid 4 to 5 times more than the inspection cost to fix all these repairs. I hired AMK home inspection in July 2021 at Middlesex county.

I hired AMK over 4.5 years ago. At the time I was overall very pleased with the results. There were very good reasons for this: (1) Scheduling and customer service were excellent; (2) The inspector came on time, even earlier, to inspect the water meter and electricity meter in the basement prior going up to the apartment; (3) He made many minor remarks and checks and explained to me everything. He even heated water in the microwave, etc.. (4) He was not in a rush and went through every room, opened and closed every faucet, etc.. I felt really involved in the process. (5) In the end, he sent me a beautifully done report in pdf with pictures and all. The only thing which bothered me at that moment is that he was not able to switch on the air conditioner/ heating combo in the apartment. We had to skip that part. Later I found out that one had to simply open the cover of the thermostat (standard Honeywell) and turn it on. Now, how is it that a licensed home inspector could not do such a basic thing? At the time, I was simply puzzled and then questioned the seller. Fortunately, nothing was wrong with the A/C or heating. I bought the apartment. Now I can say that there were things to notice in that apartment, things in plain view to a home inspector. The apartment had previous water damage to the wooden floor. It would certainly be obvious to a professional from 1-2 warped floorboards in the middle of the newly polished floor in the living room. I had no experience. Have I only suspected or were warned that there was a possibility of previous water infiltration I would have questioned the seller and did not buy the apartment. It turned out to be a very essential overlook. I understand that a home inspector can not possibly find out everything about your new home. Things can be hidden, masked, and even a professional might not notice them. My take out lesson for the future: if your home inspector fails to be able to switch on/off A/C and or heating you can not be sure that he would not miss other more serious things. It is a matter of luck in this case.

Marc was very knowledgeable and professional about the home inspection, described the process and functionality of the furniture in the home at great detail. The inspection was on the expensive side; however, they did exactly what they were paid for nothing more nothing less. He did a great job, your mileage may vary.

Marc is a great home inspector. As first time home buyer's we went into the inspection with a general idea of what to expect, but Marc provided us with so much more knowledge . He did a thorough inspection and explained everything in detail. The inspection itself last about 2hrs. Word of advice, SPEND THE MONEY on Marc. He got the report delivered the very same day. Radon test takes 4-5 days after the inspection. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking to buy a home. Go with questions, as he does a great job answering to the best of his knowledge, when I say knowledge, he truly does have tons of it. Long story short, this was a home that we were really looking forward to buying, but Marc was able to identify some red flags which helped us look at other homes to buy.

Caught a lot of things that helped us with buying the home.

Marc is one of those who is very sincere and professional. Making the appointment very smooth and easy. Everything was very clear. He was on-time and was already inspecting the area before I got there. He is super transparent about what's really needed for us. He told us the type of house we are inspecting does not need radon instead of just doing it and make us pay for it. We got our report on the day of the inspection and when we had to do the re-inspection due to the seller's mishap Marc has been very prompt on responding back to me and very transparent about the procedure. One of the rare honest professional. Would definitely recommend Marc for the home inspection.

Marc - you are the best!! Thanks for helping us with inspection. Marc appeared to be a blessing when we were in the part of home inspection for our first home buying process. He not only did his job just perfect but he was quite friendly answering all of our dump questions during inspection was on. He is a charming guy whom we felt very comfortable with. Thank God we got him. Quite responsive!! He responded to our question after inspection within almost no time even if he was busy in other inspection when we called. I liked his detailing in the inspection report and that too came next day of inspection - pretty fast! Marc did my general home inspection for a home that my husband and I are planning to purchase. We needed a home inspection for a 1500 sq. ft. home built the 1930s, with an additional radon test and termite inspection. Our inspector was Angela, and she was great. Excellent service. We looked at all the reviews here and decided to use him as he got the most good reviews. And it turned out that he deserves 5 stars. Marc went above and beyond my expectation. He didn't let go any tiny detail in the house, and provided the report on the second date of field inspection. When I called him for more questions after reviewing his report, he took his time and explained all my questions patiently. Definitely go for this guy!
