I hired this "contractor" as the only recommendation by Home Advisor. Ian Burkhamer came out to my residence immediately, assuring me he was the best for the job and providing an estimate. He stated, "You will pay half when the job starts and half when its finished." I thought, "Fair enough" and agreed for him to proceed. He came out shortly after, collected half the money, and proceeded to set rental equipment all around, even in the neighbors yard. In doing so, he damaged areas in both mine and the neighbor's yards. When I pointed this out, he said, "Don't worry, its an easy fix, and I will take care of it." Later, he continued the project by digging out the driveway and preparing for the concrete pour day. Over two weeks goes by with my yard still all tore up and finally he shows back up again. This time he explains, "You will have to give me the remaining balance before I continue. I have rental equipment and the concrete to pay for. Look, I am even discounting the project by $600.00 because I am so late. You can trust me. Don't worry." After looking around at my driveway under construction, I determined that I had little choice at that time but to pay him, so I did. After all, he was giving me a "deal." Now, well over another month has gone by. 15-20 feet at the end of my driveway is just a big hole where no culvert place was ever brought over and no concrete was ever placed. The wood forms still remain in places. No dirt has been filled in on any of the sides of the poured areas. The lines were all cut at an inferior, ineffective depth, varying greatly in depth from about 1/4 to 1 inch. The damage Ian Burkhamer did to both of the yards remains uncorrected. He never answers texts or phone calls anymore. When he does, its always something like, "I will be in church all evening." Again, he has been non-existent for over a month now. Furthermore, it has now been over two months since we agreed on the project. Now, I'm just left with a big, unfinished mess in the area of what used to be my driveway. Ian Burkhamer, it seems, has apparently taken all the money and entirely abandoned the project/agreement.

First, he ask for money. He doesn't own his own equipment so he rents at an added cost. Doesn't show up when he says. I ended up doing the prep work and slab myself. He had every excuse not to work he even called and said his truck broke down. I would warn all people to not use this kid!!! He should be kicked off this site. If you want pictures of his work I have them. Forms were 3.25 inches out of level. Width was 24 to 23.8 for a 24 x 24 slab. Footers were wrong with no steel. Depth of concrete went from 2.5 inches to 8 inches thick.............horrible
