AR Plumbing

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding basement water and drainage work performed by AR Plumbing, also identified as Aqua Rooters Plumbing LLC, at my property located at 1638 S. Sedgwick St., Wichita, Kansas 67213. The company was referred through Angi and was hired to correct a serious problem involving water entering my basement. The work began on April 27, 2026. According to the company, the work was completed on May 1, 2026. The original contract amount was $5,230.00, plus $305.75 in taxes, for a total of $5,535.75. I have paid the company $3,540.00. The company later claimed that it gave me a discount of $965.75 so that I could use that amount to hire another company to perform the remaining work. After applying that discount, the company is now demanding a remaining payment of $1,030.00 by June 30, 2026. I dispute the remaining balance because the original water problem was not corrected, the promised drainage solution was not properly completed, and construction debris remains at the property. The purpose of hiring the company was to stop water from entering the basement. The company also stated that it would add a drain to the basement so that future water, including water used to clean the basement floor, could properly drain out. However, after the company performed the work, water continued to enter the basement. Therefore, the main problem for which the company was hired remains unresolved. When the company was notified that water was still entering the home, its representatives stated that they believed the work they performed would fix the issue. After it became clear that the work had not corrected the problem, the company claimed that it had performed everything described in the contract. The company also stated that it could not perform any additional work because its workers were just plumbers. This statement is concerning because the company accepted the job and payment for the purpose of correcting the basement water problem. The company did not clearly explain before beginning the work that the problem might require services outside the scope of its abilities or that its proposed work might not stop the water intrusion. The company claimed that the $965.75 discount could be used to pay another company to complete the remaining solution. Based on that statement, I contacted another company to inspect the property and evaluate the continuing problem. After evaluating the property and the work, the second company advised that the necessary corrective work could cost more than $11,000.00. This amount is substantially higher than the discount offered by AR Plumbing and indicates that the remaining problem is significant. The company also left rubble, construction debris, and materials at the property. It has stated that it will only return to remove the rubble if the final payment is made. I do not believe the company should condition the removal of its construction debris on payment of a disputed balance when the original problem remains unresolved. I took photographs and videos documenting the work, the continued water intrusion, and the condition of the basement. The only person I was initially able to contact was an employee or helper named Felipe.

Travis and his assistant came at the appointed time. Both were friendly, polite, and efficient. They readily found the problem with my water heater. The defective part was removed and shown to me. I was given the cost of the replacement part. AR Plumbing's price was acceptable and fair. I strongly recommend AR Plumbing. They did high-quality work. Their price was reasonable. When I need a plumber in the future, AR Plumbing will be the company I will call.

I was very pleased ! Travis was very knowledgeable and will be hiring again . My kitchen faucet was installed the same day and he called me back within 10 mins of my estimate request and over companies are barely responding lol btw the rates are reasonable and affordable .

I had reached out to Ar plumbing in regards to having my hot water tank looked at. And come to find out it was a bad tank they told me what all was wrong and what needed to be done and I told them to go ahead and replace it. They had my old one out and my new tank in within two hours.
