Good stuff

They were great. They had a cancellation and came the next day to close our damper and cleaned the chimney at the same time and only charged us for the cleaning. Then they fit us in a week later to seal a crack at the chimney top. They gave us before and after pics of everything. They were punctual, professional and experienced and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for chimney services.

High pressure upselling when I hired just to clean chimney. Told to email me, NOT call, with any upsale recommendations. Called 2 days later anyway. Emailed them and told not to call again. They called again anyway offering a **discount** Told me the moss growing on the north side of my recently recapped and repointed chimney was a sign of water damage (no--just moss on the shady side). Make sure you get an independent contractor (one who knows they will not get the work) to verify any of their upsale items and get 3 separate bids beforehand also. Also, google the repairs they want to do and familiarize yourself with them first. There may be cheaper/simpler methods.

Answered all my questions about the job to be done. Prompt, careful and clean. Reasonably priced.

I hired A&S to replace damaged refractory panels in my pre-fab fireplace. They gave me an estimate based on photos, scheduled an appointment, and completed the work on time as contracted with no issues. The workers were on time, professional, and personable.
