A Safe Home Fireplace Repair and Indoor Air Quality

I would like 5+ stars to the repairman. He was just great!

Just wish his shop vac vacuum had a filter on it, so the powder that was sucked up would of stayed in the vacuum. Once my broken leg heels I'll swifter all the walls and vacuum the furniture. This two burner new fireplace set, puts out twice the heat, fancy glass chunks reflect nicely.

Great service! The problem only ended being a clogged pilot but he cleaned it quickly and was nice enough to decorate our fireplace with lava rock and glass free of charge. Our fireplace looks and works better than ever!

Scott was pleasant to work with, but when my gas fireplace would not ignite after his repair, he would not return my multiple phone calls or honor his handwritten warranty.

This company serviced my fireplace last year and did a great job, HOWEVER - when scheduling service this year they canceled the morning of the appointment and will not return my calls to reschedule. You will only get a voicemail recording when you call and no response via voice or web.

Arrived as scheduled. Friendly service person. Thoroughly explained problem and recommended solution. Repaired gas fireplace that would not ignite by replacing a thermal safety switch. Also recommended and installed glass bead fire bed which adds to the aesthetic quality of the fireplace.

Scott came to my home to repair my heatilator. The problem was a very low flame. For $198, the only thing he did was to clean the pilot, which was working fine and not part of the problem. When the cleaned pilot didnt make any difference he stated that he thought the regulator might be bad and he would order a new one. Several weeks have passed and no word from Scott/Safe Home. So, I called (redacted). They came out yesterday and in 10 minutes, found an ant in the orifice, removed it and its working better than ever. Hooray to (redacted) , for fixing it and not overcharging me, like Scott/Safe Home. Bottom line-Scott didnt seem to know much about the mechanics of the fireplace and didnt know anything about how to troubleshoot the problem. After he couldnt fix the fireplace, he then wanted to check the furnace, water heater, range, etc. for leaks and proceeded to tighten the connections, which made me very nervous. I would recommend you stay away from them. BTW, they had quoted $99, so charged me double and did nothing!

Did not fix the problem and did not call me back with a price on replacement parts. Hired someone else who fix my fire place without replacement parts. What a waist of money.

The technician was professional, friendly, informative and made me confident that I made a good decision in hiring this company. He was patient and answered all our questions and even gave us a few tips on owning a gas operated fireplace and how to look for potential problems. He even called 2 hours early and was in and out before his appointed time. Which gave me two extra hours in my day that I had not planned on...Bonus!!!!

I called for service and Scott was out to fix my fireplace within the hour-Wow! He seemed very knowledgeable and was very personable.

I originally called for a gas fireplace repair. When Scott first came out, he checked all the gas lines inside my home for leaks. He found one in the attic to my home's furnace. The connection was so loose that he didn't even need a tool to disconnect it! I went up in the attic with him and saw him test it with his machine. I am so glad that he checked it because who knows how long that could have leaked or even caused a fire. I also hired him to repair the gas fireplace which was admittedly more than I anticipated in cost, but I also realize that not a whole lot of companies do the work and he was fair with his pricing considering the amount of time he put in. He also added finishing touches such as colored glass pellets and fake ashes. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service and would definitely hire him again for any repairs I may need on the fireplace, AC or furnace. I would also recommend him highly! I learned a lot while he was here and will definitely be putting the fireplace to good use now that I know how cheap it is to run!
