He never completed any of the work he promised. What work was done, was done poorly.

"this is a fraudulent claim that is associated with the other negative review I commented on, it is unfortunate that home advisor is so careless with their contractors good name. when home advisor first came online it was such a different company as it is now, now that they are national they seem to not need their contracts as much, we are just a number now. I have built a major part of my company on home advisor, it breaks my heart that they care so little about my good name...."

Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
Steer clear of this contractor. We contracted with him on 9/29/2015 to do a major remodel for us. He took $31,500 cash from us that day that we borrowed from SunTrust. He proceeded to rip up our house just enough to make it uninhabitable. Afterward, he told us he wanted us to tear up our all-inclusive contract and enter into a new one at a cost plus 10% rate. When we refused, we got a text from him stating, "...please understand I will not continue as is, I'm offering a cost plus 15% with a 275K cap...other then that I will bill out my costs and give you a refund." He went from wanting a cost plus 10% to insisting on a cost plus 15% in a mere 24 hours. A $275K cap was $86,000 more than our original contract. We couldn't afford that much more money and had no choice but to refuse. Instead of refunding our money as he said he would, he began to threaten us and abandoned the job--before ever even starting any of the work--AND he kept our $31,500 as if for some reason he thought he was entitled to it. We are now left with a huge bank loan to repay and no house to move into because our property is uninhabitable and the contractor has kept every penny of our remodeling money

"unfortunately, Home Advisor has placated these dishonest people, they contracted a very complicated job with me knowing full well they did not have the funds to complete it. every contractor who reads this knows people like this they wanted to get me to finish the project and then cry broke when the final payment comes due. these people don't deal in reality, they are abusive, dishonest and none of their little tricks are going to stop my company from taking care of my many many satisfied customers. after 35 years in this business creeps like these come and go- yet I'm still here. theses people have a contract with me that clearly calls for binding arbitration, they have been offered to meet and settle time and time again, but they know that to actually sit down and work this out calmly and rationally would quickly show them to be the scammers they are. my attorney is preparing a lawsuit against these people for their many published libel and slanderous actions, will see who in the end has their day in the sun."

Solid Surface Countertops - Repair (Concrete, Stainless Steel, etc)
We were having a sink installed by a plumber, but ti didn't fit and plumber didn't have a resource to train the countertop. So we needed prompt service. Called Fred. He had somebody within 3 hours who did the job quickly which allowed plumbers to finish install that day. Fred's person saved the day!

Fred was on time. Fred changed out a light fixture and hung 3 blinds for me. He is professional and his quality of work is excellent. The charge for his work was fair. I would definitely hire him again.

Fred came when he said he would, brought all he needed to do the things I needed done so he didn't have to make a trip for parts. He completed all the repairs I needed done in less time than his estimate. Every job he did was done well.
