We've had issues post-completion that have not been resolved. Several times AVE Electric, Inc. has promised to come back and resolve them but no shows with no call to explain or reschedule. We are selling our home and these items must be fixed prior to close of escrow and we might be subject to having to pay another electrician to come fix the problems.

We paid a landscape design company $3200 to install 20 low voltage lights in our backyard. They could not install the lights in a desirable timeframe so I contracted Ave Electric. I informed Rene Trujillo that I paid 300 for 20 lights and the remaining $2900 was to complete the job. He agreed to do the job at that price. Upon completion of the job I was charged an additional $557 for materials that were supposed to be included in the $2900. I called Rene that afternoon and explained the misunderstanding and requested he honor our original agreement. He admitted to a misunderstanding but would not adjust the price he charged. In total I paid Rene $3457 to install the lights plus the original $300 I paid for the lights. Since then I have contacted other landscape designers all of which tell me that the materials should have been approximately $1400 and the labor $1400. I told these contractors that Rene installed Home Depot materials and #12 cable. They all agreed that the materials were low budget and that I was extremely overcharged for the job. Rene assumed I knew nothing about the job requirements and willingly charged me double the going rate for the labor and I would imagine well over double his companies posted rate. Not to mention I paid for materials that are not contractor grade, i.e.: 10 gauge wire and heavy duty "contractor rate" transformers not the Home Depot materials I received. Each contractor informed us that we will most likely have service issues and erosion problems as a result of the job. In addition, Rene installed the transformers with 2x4sin extremely visible locations so they stick out in the landscape and are a focal point instead of blending in or hidden. Here is some feedback about Rene's ability to install interior lights. We have a staircase light approx. 19' high that required an adjustable ladder
