A & B Transfer & Storage Co, Inc. DBA Armstrong Relocation

My move was based on an estimated weight; yet I NEVER received a before and after weight of my moved goods to make sure I WAS NOT overcharged. When I brought this to the attention of Armstrong, it was like I never even asked the question to make sure I paid properly for my move - as I had items on the initial estimate that DID NOT make the move, thus lowering my weight considerably - but my charge did not change. As with most movers - DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD FOR ANYTHING. Always check off the packed and delivered lists to ensure everything makes it and all boxes are placed where they were packed from at the original location. I had A LOT of items that got dropped short into my new garage instead of going upstairs where they came from and belonged - mainly because they were heavy boxes and items. When brought to Armstrong's attention - they simply said they would make sure crews were briefed properly going forward. Now "I" have to move a bunch of heavy boxes / items from my garage to my upstairs - which I THOUGHT I PAID FOR. Our truck driver was very professional and made sure we were informed well before pick-up and delivery as to what time he expected to be on site. His crews came short-handed on both ends and made for a long day for them and us, when 1 more person would have made a huge difference. We did receive several calls from Armstrong on the days of pick-up and delivery to see how things were going, for what that was worth.
